Both listings are for the same exact model. Get whichever is cheaper since both also have 1 yr warranty. This was my first AP, still have two units that I'm using. Should be coming to two years already, no issue to date.

Original replacement filters cost $40+

oops i think i never look at the model properly. i think i might go for that. cost of the AP and filter are both decent.

by the way, where do you usually get the filter from?

Can get the filter from Sharp Service Centre (438B Alexandra Road) or Qoo10 (some local sellers have).

For me I'm currently using brandless hepa filters from taobao recommend in this thread, gotta scroll back and read. They are a generic size, don't fit exactly, so gotta DIY abit to fit. Think okay for general daily use as I'm using these in the rooms that are not bedrooms. Study/living room.

Based on the specs, yes, looks like the coverage should be sufficient. Just note the fan speed for the required coverage.

Wow! Nice leh. 😍

This one looks tempting. Perhaps next future target? 😂😂

The Mi app is so useful and convenient for my family that has lured me to switch all to Gen1 & Gen2.

Same old negative despite being 3rd incarnation. No low, medium, high, turbo buttons on the app, which is as easy as ABC to implement since it's app implementation.

Probably no such control on the machine too (coz it only has 1 physical button).

Low medium and high button mode, as well as jet mode.

But for Gen2, only one Favourite mode. Need slide to adjust speed accordingly. A bit the "mafun". Additional one step.

Hopefully the new "pro" one will sort of keep Gen1 "buttons" on the app. Just personal preference.

Weirdly noisy fan from particle counter?

May I know if anybody else uses this specific model of particle counter?:

I got one recently & observed that its fan is significantly noiser than my older, simpler model. Do check out the video below (with sound turned on max; you will hear a humming when I picked up the newer model & hear nothing from the exposed fan of my older model):

Or is mine spoilt?

me. something similar. but never noticed any noise before

May I ask a favour from you?
Can you help me power yours (the one with the "more"-enclosed body) on, & listen closely to the side where the fan is (you should be able to see the square black fan through the grills)...

Can let me know if you hear any buzzing/humming/any noise at all?

If yours have no noise even at such close proximity, means I've got a dud set on my hands...
