Digi prepaid available now.

Was told that XPax Turbo prepaid now allows data and voice to be used in malaysia, singapore and indonesia.

anything new? any data roaming on digi using local data allowance?

M1 Data Passport is for postpaid accounts, and there're charges like activation and stuff? I'm using the prepaid M Card that just draws from the existing data without having to pay for anything.

Not too bad, since I'm using it in a spare phone here and when heading across, can already get a MY line while queuing for my bus at Tuas CIQ.

Not sure about overseas, but I don't like the reception of the green one here.

Actually any SIM card will do unless you really want to go in Malaysia very often. else just get on with it and just get any will do.

Have not data-roamed with my M1 postpaid line, so no idea about this.

Just for the 2 days, can grab cards like Hotlink Fast, Digi Best or Live, or maybe even U Mobile if that's the most convenient. Starter pack prices are around similar prices, just a matter of how much the dealer charges if they impose "extras".

Can refer to the respective websites for what each starter pack includes, and within the last 5 pages here there're already members sharing/suggesting where to buy, if those places are within the area you're heading for.

It's not the telcos who are charging extras or compulsory top-up, but rather their dealers.

To avoid these extras, you can head directly to their telco centers (Maxis Center, Celcom Center, DiGi Center) or look for those dealers who don't charge nor impose extras. Not many dealers offer this, though.

Alternatively, go to convenient stores like 7-Eleven or newstands that offer prepaid cards like U Mobile or DiGi Live/Best.
