Has anyone here recently bought a DiGi Prepaid starter pack that included a monthly mobile internet package? Like being charged RM38 or more, and told that it's 1GB or so data in it, valid for a month?

I've been thinking, since DiGi MI packages are auto-renewable, are they chargeable after the first month if not cancelled? Or do these dealers have a "special" way of including "non-renewable data packages"?

my friend go JB today and the person say no unlimited data addon.

so how Digi has how many different plan?

AFAIK, for Digi prepaid data plans, there are basically 3 types:

(1) Internet Pass -- NON-recurring (one time ONLY, will NOT auto renew)
(2) Internet Plans -- recurring (WILL auto renew)
(3) Internet Top-ups -- this is only meant to be used to add more data to type (2)

The above has been mentioned in various online threads before, one example below:

UhYkjHz.jpg

The above info is found at this thread:
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3992347/all

**
For the purpose of discussion in this post, we're only interested in type (1) & type (2) Digi prepaid data plans.

NOW WE CAN GO & LOOK at info on Digi Web site...

For type (1), Digi Prepaid 'Internet Pass' -- this is prepaid data plan which is NON-recurring (one time ONLY, will NOT auto renew)

Recently, Digi Prepaid has introduced (a few) 24hrs unlimited 'Internet Pass', which are called 'Unlimited Passes'.

Some days ago, someone in this thread asked whether any Malaysia prepaid SIM card has unlimited data plans.

So in my previous post (in this thread), I shared the below link to the Digi prepaid 'Unlimited Passes':
http://new.digi.com.my/prepaid-addons#Unlimited-Passes

M2IJCcv.jpg

( As an example, from above Web page, you can buy RM8 24hrs unlimited data by using USSD code *116*2*4# )

Since the above Digi Prepaid 'Unlimited-Passes' are NON-recurring (one time ONLY, will NOT auto renew)...

The word "recurring" DOES NOT appear in the above Web page for the Digi prepaid 'Unlimited-Passes' !!

The terms & conditions (T&C) for Digi Prepaid 'Unlimited Passes' can be found at this link below:
http://new.digi.com.my/cs/Satellite/Page/tnc/default/tnc_digi_unlimited_passes

Since the Digi prepaid 'Unlimited Passes' is a sub-category of Digi prepaid 'Internet Pass'...

You can find the general terms & conditions (T&C) for Digi Prepaid 'Internet Pass' HERE:
http://new.digi.com.my/Page/tnc/default/tnc_prepaid_internet_pass

Since ALL Digi Prepaid 'Internet Pass' -- including the 24hrs 'Unlimited Passes' -- are NON-recurring (one time ONLY, will NOT auto renew)...

The word "renew" DOES NOT appear at all in the above T&C pages for both Digi Prepaid 'Internet Pass' & 'Unlimited Passes' !!

**
Let's continue...

You can find type (2) -- Digi Prepaid 'Internet Plans' (recurring, WILL auto renew) data plans HERE:
http://new.digi.com.my/prepaid-addons#Internet-Plans

Ooqy2vf.jpg

As you can see from above Digi Web page, the word "recurring" is CLEARLY visible on the Web page...

Thus, ANY Digi Prepaid 'Internet Plans' on above Web page -- regardless daily, weekly or monthly data plans -- WILL auto renew.

The terms & conditions (T&C) for the recurring Digi Prepaid 'Internet Plans' can be found at these 2 links below:
http://new.digi.com.my/cs/Satellite/Page/tnc/default/tnc_digi_prepaid_best_mobile_internet
http://new.digi.com.my/cs/Satellite/Page/tnc/default/tnc_digi_prepaid_live_mobile_internet

Because the Digi Prepaid 'Internet Plans' WILL auto renew, the word "renew" or "renewal" can be found MANY MANY times on the above T&C page(s) !!

**
Now, you can buy Digi prepaid data either by:

(a) Using USSD menu:
http://new.digi.com.my/roaming/quick-menu

(b) Using Digi mobile app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digi.portal.mobdev.android
https://itunes.apple.com/my/app/mydigi/id563496529?mt=8

i think he get Digi Prepaid BEST but he say he cannot find the addon uinlimited data from the apps.

The PROBLEM is that...

Certain Digi prepaid data plans can ONLY buy using the Digi app -- while certain prepaid data plans can only buy via Digi prepaid USSD menu !!

(As an example, the RM1 300MB 1day Pokemon data plan can be found in the Digi app, but seems not listed in the USSD menu)

Sorry I don't know why it's like that, maybe you can go ask Digi.

So you may have to go through BOTH the USSD menu & the Digi app to find & buy the Digi Prepaid data you want.

**
I understand that quite often, when some of us go buy a new Digi prepaid SIM card, the vendor may "forced" us to add RM10/RM20/RM30 to buy some prepaid add-on data.

Some of us are not sure whether the add-on data is recurring or not.

Most of us do not need/want recurring Digi prepaid data plans because we're not permanently (staying) in Malaysia.

FYI, the good news is...

Even if you're currently subscribed to any recurring Digi prepaid data plan, you can UNSUBSCRIBE anytime by using USSD code *128*3*1*1#

RcEcHNI.jpg

For any recurring Digi Prepaid data plan, once you successfully unsubscribe, it will take effect IMMEDIATELY:

j4hl2IL.jpg

Is the above difficult to understand? No, right? :)

Hope the above helps.

Hi boonkang,

how to check the monthly recurring RM28 for 7GB when the next cycle? so have to unsubscribe before next cycle bill.

so if currently on monthly recurring RM28 plan for 7GB data, can buy RM8 24hrs unlimited data using USSD code *116*2*4#

or have to use the 7GB finish and then unsubscribe the monthly plan and then buy RM8 24hrs unlimited data using USSD code *116*2*4# ?

I've not subscribed to any recurring Digi prepaid 'Internet Plan' for a long time already. Can't really remember, but if I'm not wrong...

You could check info on your current (recurring) Digi prepaid 'Internet Plan' by (possibly) the following ways:

- Check using Digi mobile app
- OR use USSD code *200#
- OR use USSD code *128*1*1#

OR if you're in Malaysia, off WiFi + turn on mobile data on your phone w/ the Digi prepaid SIM card; then using the phone Web browser, go to http://www.myinternet.com.my

You can try any of the above methods & report back which one works for you.

so if currently on monthly recurring RM28 plan for 7GB data, can buy RM8 24hrs unlimited data using USSD code *116*2*4#

or have to use the 7GB finish and then unsubscribe the monthly plan and then buy RM8 24hrs unlimited data using USSD code *116*2*4# ?

I've never tried to buy Digi prepaid 'Internet Pass' data while ALREADY on a (recurring) Digi prepaid 'Internet Plan'.

So not sure if it's possible or not. You need to ask Digi.

Of course after you successfully unsubscribe from the recurring Digi prepaid RM28 7GB 'Internet Plan' -- you will then not have ANY data plan at all; and thus should not have any problems buying the Digi RM8 24hrs 'Unlimited Pass' via USSD code *116*2*4# :)

For OneXOX, there's a dealer in the Travel Bazaar here. PM me if you need help in looking for his post.

For Tron, they post from KL to SG if you meet their T&C. See website for details.

For the rest, you can get them at their respective centers in MY, or their dealers located all over there.

Look through the previous 3 or 4 pages here for some of the dealers mentioned recently.

I'm not familiar with all these pre paid cards and the gimmicks :p

All I need is actually data when I head over for a day or so.
Which one of these has long expiry?
Or which one is the least expensive to have, if it isn't feasible to retain the number

Thank you

Since the RM dropped and the school holidays arrived, these same questions have been popping up. The last few pages will help you and there should be links to the websites to refer for details of those mentioned too.

Partied too hard last night, can't master the energy to go through it right now.

Offhand I can only think of Hotlink Fast and OneXOX.

In fact tron maybe only on 3g but if you subscribe to their data package, once data has been fully ultilized, there will still be 'unlimited' basic data...

I saw Digi Prepaid Best looks reasonable in terms of price.
Add on for "Internet Plan" looks good as well

What about the validity?

Can we get it in Johor Bahru?

Thank you
