whether is it worth depends on your requirements and specifications.
do you have any existing canon lenses on hand?

In my opinion in general, I would say this M5 is a good all-in-one camera.
If you are looking for mirrorless or DSLM and Canon is not a must, I would recommend Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic.

Fujifilm , Panasonic and Olympus all look bulky except Sony...but Sony α6500 Premium E-mount APS-C Camera also not cheap, body alone already coming to S$2k.

if Sony suite your requirements, you can consider a6300 or a6000 to suit your budget.

Just now tries M5 and 80D. Still prefer the control & feel of a slr.

Will wait for me then see how. My 40D is 9yr old liao. The iso noise is terrible vs current models

I know 80d is a gd cam. Just that I told myself sometime back if I were to replace my 40d,i would get a mirrorless due to the size & weight. But I still feel slr feel & controls r easier.

me too, I started from an Olympus Pen Lite.
End up went to get a Canon DSLR after trying all the handling with Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Sony, Olympus OM-D.

I wanted to get the OM-D EM-1 then and I love the handling but the price....

Thanks in advance

Have you tried the Fujifilm XE2?

Also the Olympus EM-5?

Good contenders, but if they still don't give you the feel and handling you need, then going back to a tried and test DSLR is the best option. Then it would just be Canon vs. Nikon. And if you already have Canon lenses, just stick to Canon 80D.
