Heyo.. broadcast are almost 99% 1080p only, but these days I record them in 1440p. Recorded broadcast doesn't look good with all the artifacts, noise, backlighting and the lack of vibrancy. Need to use video editing software to correct. Below is a reference fyi.

For my recorder and encoder cc, the settings are as follow depending on the programme.
3840x2160 @ 30fps - 55mbps (record and encode with: H.265/HEVC codec; container: .tp/.ts)
2560x1440 @ 30fps - 40mbps (record and encode with: H.264/MPEG-2 codec; container: .tp/.ts)
2560x1440 @ 30fps - 30 to 35mbps (record and encode with: H.265/HEVC codec; container: .tp/.ts)
1920x1080 @ 30fps - 25mbps (record and encode with: H.264/MPEG-2 codec; container: .tp/.ts)
After editing, my output files for 4k are,
3840x2160 @ 60fps - 30mbps (encode with: H.264; container: .mp4) OR
3840x2160 @ 60fps - 15 to 20mbps (encode with: H.265/HEVC; container: .mp4)
For 2k,
2048x1538 @60fps - 20mbps (encode with: H.264; container: .mp4)
For 1080p,
1920x1080 @ 60fps - 12.5mbps (encode with: H.264; container: .mp4)
1920x1080 @ 60fps - 8mbps (encode with: H.265/HEVC; container: .mp4)

Have you tried playing your videos on a 4K TV before? Quite interesting to see how it turns out :s12:
