I think it looks mostly about right, and mostly not rushed.

When are you travelling? If it's not the summer months, it can get a little cold.

Also, are you aware of the time and distance involved to get to Bryon Bay? It's an hour and a half to drive back up to Sea World. It's going to be one long and tiring day.

As for the glasshouse, what are you planning to do there? You would have time to drive to a few lookouts and may be have a very short walk. Doesn't seem like the best use of time though.

I'm travelling end of May to early June partly becos my wife prefer a cooler weather. I know the weather would be changing to winter, I used to stay in queensland when I was doing my degree years back. :s13:

Yup I aware of the distance of bryon bay. I intend to spend less than half a day at Sea World(been there b4 and not much excitement), I would not visit if I didn't bought the groupon combo tickets just utilizing if time permits.

Never been to glasshouse(approx 1hrs plus frm brissy city) during my 2 years in ozzy, I thought the scenery is worth a visit. I know is further up towards sunshine coast therefore not sure if it is a rush to travel during the last day even though my departure will be a mid night flight.

The second last day(Day 8) will be too pack as I most probably will be paying a visit to UQ after Lone Pine Koala.

Sounds like you know what you're doing, although I wouldn't want to go to Wet'n'Wild at that time of the year. :s13:

Previously I didn't drive(no licence) when I was in australia. I still need some advice because i'm not sure how tiring. The other time it was my friend drove thru out the night from brisbane to bryon bay. lol

yea, i won't want to go wet'n wild but since it was part of the package from groupon must as well utilize it. The water theme park was not around 10 years ago.. mabbe just drop by and take a look. =:p

Byron bay sunrise will be tough. U need to move at 330-4am. The drive there is easy but will be a sleepy drive.

It's a pretty easy drive even in the dark once you get onto the M1. Just watch out for the big trucks on the highway and don't miss the turn off. :)

Cool:D You are an engineer too? I believe a lot have changed since we left. Really look forward to revisit

Yea, but i was in computer systems. Haven't been back to Brissy since. Friends told me that they'll be heading there for Ekka in Aug and asked me to come along.

I told them will see how since it's just a couple of hrs from Melbourne..

Go to Noosa Chocolate Factory (at Adelaide Street). Best chocolate ever! Don't get their iced or hot chocolate though. Regretted it. But the chocolates are really good! $5.70/100grams.

Nothing much has changed, except for more buildings in South Bank and the city. Just arrived earlier this week after a nine years absence!

Used to hang out a lot at Hawken drive, the viet food and fish & chip were gems..

Hi, I will also be doing a 9 day Brisbane - Gold Coast trip for our honeymoon this coming September.

Is it cheaper to rent a car than use public transportation when staying 9 days?
