If you are not into the latest and best hardware, you will not find much differences between XZ Premium and XZs for normal usage.

XZs is also no slouch when it comes to gaming performance.
You might consider it if you are on a budget.

My gaming all on iPad though, so XZs not too bad for my use case, can channel the money to a better iPad (if it even releases...)

Agreed look at iOS only 1 to 3 gb depend on models
For soo Long onky recent Apple add mor ram
But for androids more Rams is always welcome

It is always hard to compare hardware specifications on different OS.

Fruity phone benchmarks can stand head and shoulders on comparable Android phones, but it is still lacking many capabilities that an unroot Android phone can do.

Not to mention the limited models each year when compared to an army of different brands and models of Androids flooding the market.

It is better to stick with comparison between competing androids.

Why no one is talking about quick charge 4.0?

This is the only feature that I'm looking for.. too bad Samsung s8 doesn't have it.

xzp has qc4? Xz QC3 not much diff. The hp is restricting too much to protect the battery.

No point as far as charging tech can be improved.
Battery tech is still far from taping on such quick charge tech.
Take for example, my XZ using UCH 12W charger which supports
Quick charge 3.0.
The charging time is still around 2 hours drop from default charger
of around 3 hours.
Check with some, they say not fast enough. :s22:

Samsung s8 wise, not stated nor they have whitepaper to see
the technical aspect of the phone.
My suspect is maybe for S8, is still on QC2.0.

Even so, you need a QC compatible charger.
If unsure of the list of charger, can always download from
Qualcomm website.

Sony FTW anyway, Sony XZ lines up does support QC3.0 but you need the optional UCH12W charger.
However charging speed can never be instant like instant noodle. :s22:

Still need at least few hours, if battery can be instant.
Electric cars in UK do not need 24 hours to build charge already. :s13:

The original charger is around 2.5hr. I expecting QC3 to be slightly more than an hr but it only reduce to 2 hr.

I will never recommend re-contract with telecoms since SIM only plans are basically half price of contract plans, unless you can benefit from some corporate plan discounts.

The main difference is paying a high price for the phone, but the savings will spread out across two years.

Agree. And their free gift make it worth the pre-order from Sony.

The original charger is around 2.5hr. I expecting QC3 to be slightly more than an hr but it only reduce to 2 hr.

That is why as much as manufacturers/chip markers like Qualcomm
can introduce Quick charge and etc.
The issue is with the battery and it's cell.

The risk of it being charge too fast like say a 2900mah battery in XZ.
Not only heat but risk of exploding is really high.
To compare laptop charging of around an hour to a HP is unrealistic.

Cuz the cell inside and the charging tech for both equipment are different.
Laptop charger is rated at 19V at 5ma VS HP 5V at 1500ma.
If HP can support 19V that type would not be that so small.

Maybe around laptop size of 14 size HP which is far too big. :s22:
The limitation of HP is since most are still on USB standards.
If they remove the USB and opt for AC input, you will have issue
that you cannot connect sync media/files from your phone from PC.

Even in the past, phones that doesn't have USB doesn't charge that as fast.
For me, I rather opt for a OS that doesn't suck that much battery
than charging tech.

My XZ charge around 2 hours or so can last almost a day.
I still play games, listen music, make calls and etc. since my Z2 tablet
is KO at the moment.

Currently still waiting for Sony to reply back to me Android 7 battery drainage issue.
Yes somehow I feel Android 7 does consume much battery, my previous phone Z2 on Android 6 Marshmallow doesn't suck battery that as fast as Nougat.

The difference between quick charge and fast charging, is that the former will charge the phone faster without more heat.
So it will have less stress on the battery.

This will be a sign that your battery will be bloated as a resulted.
Happened to my Z5. At first thought the glue of the front panel failing, went to an Ah Beng shop to ask them help me glue back, upon checking he told me should be battery bloat.

End up really is.

He told me don't attempt to use too high an output to charge, and don't charge overnight etc.

Z5 at the most is Qualcomm Quickcharge 2.0, you need the UCH10
for this.
If you use other chargers, definitely will wear out the battery easily.

That is why most want phones that can instantly charge but at the moment. The key issue is still cells since it still have to build up charge
over time like fighting game.

If charging too fast the battery will definitely heat up very fast.
For phones over a year or battery lifespan up, the battery will become
bloated.

Even if it is not noticeable, if you feel your phone cannot hold charge
or drain very quickly it could be battery issue.
