My Wifi download speeds on Speedtest.net fell from 500Mbps to 1.5Mbps After installing the latest Creators Update.

Reinstalled Chipset and my USB Wireless Adapter drivers but doesn't fix the issue.

Rolled back the Creators Update and everything reverted to normal.

Did a Google and it looked like there are people facing the same issues.

Anyone facing the same problem?

I was contemplating whether to do the update but since I am using WIFI too, I will wait till Windows Update pushes it to my PC.

The Creators Update will re-enable the Fast Startup option.
If your wifi hardware cannot support Fast Startup, better to turn that option off.

This morning my network adapter stopped working and so I went to check power settings, and behold, the stupid update disobeyed my settings and reset everything. :(

My itchy hand wants to download the standalone installer for the Creator Update

But my brain is telling me to wait until my PC receive the update (Microsoft is releasing the update in batches, those newer system will receive it first and older system will receive later)

Looks like my brain is right to wait for the update.... let Microsoft patch up will the bugs first

The creator update solved one of my USB device issue that keeps showing an error in devices and printers. At the same time, devices and printers open almost instantly when I click on it. Previously it will keep loading until the cow come home then it display. And it has a built in night light mode which makes the screen looks more orange to cut out the blue light. Nice!!!

Unfortunately the new Windows defender cannot be disabed without editing the registry. Hope they come up with an update that allows it to be disabled.

I thought antivirus will disable it by default? No?

My issue is with the HDR.. enabling it will screw up the color and refresh. I am using an HDR monitor.. Other forum say it is due to graphics drivers..

On the plus side.. try the game mode. While on the game press Windows (Start) Key+G

Support for hiDPI displays in a mixed environment (multiple monitors, not all hiDPI) is vastly improved with Creators Update. That alone was worth the upgrade to me.

No, this is new version of Windows defender. Works differently.

Another issue I got is when using photo app to view photo, if you minimise it or go to other program and then come back to view the photo again, the photo app just preview a blank image. Have to close and open the app again. LOL.

So Microsoft changed it to no longer can be off by Antivirus because on my current Windows 10 PC (not creator update), it's managed by my antivirus.

Hmm...I may have misunderstood the new Windows Defender.

Seems like it is not actually running (for anti-virus). But some other component of it seems to be still running.

Just that the icon cannot get rid of from the system tray???

Quickly updated via the update assistant before they release on Windows Update.
So far no problems. PC is 5 years old.
Updated another 7 years old PC, also no problems.
