I saw that model too but can't really find any review on it. What made you bought neo?

Eh... just buy lor.
Should be alright if don't treat it as 24x7.

If seriously think about it, that are a lot of consideration.
I moved from Dlink DNS-320 - never use often, spoil on me. :s13:
I actually plan to DIY my own DAS using a small casing.

That's why must buy in pairs.
One dock - two hdd.
Two docks - four hdd.

Now I software sync dock1's HDD1 to HDD2 and dock2's HDD1 to HDD2.
Hmm... maybe I should criss-X them i.e. dock1-hdd1 to dock2-hdd1

My next HDD to test would be the WD purple.

Review should be view with a pinch of salt.
I won't know exactly how the reviewer uses it, sometimes maybe user issues.

Then 2x HDD on 2x Docks in criss-X manner.

The reviewer with fried hdd reviewed another different docking which has issues as well. IMHO, likely it is caused by other issues e.g. power line not clean. AFAIK, power line disturbances may cause data loss.
