Guys,

I managed to upgrade my Xiaoyi ip camera 720p china to version 1.8.7.0C...
Support telnet,tftp,rtsp,no logo.

Please note this not for 17CN(Tested on 12CN only)

Download and extract content of 1.8.7.0C to sd card. The reboot..

eg. If your sd card is F:
it should look like this

I coming from 1.8.6.1C mod rtsp,ftp,telnet

Only notice that videos load around 4 sec compare to 10/20 sec(This only happens after few view). The camera does not stuck between day/night mode which happen around 7am/pm. Used keeps switching in between and can last for 1 hour.

I dont face error much like 5000 or 3006 when connect from 3G/4G but still slow compare to my foscam.

I dint test on audio as i dont use it.

Hi, I just tried but can't get it working. When using the app to connect, after the wifi connection, it says in English "this cam can only be used in China". Wonder if there is something wrong with my app. i am using an old ver of the app. What ver r u ppl using?

set your region as China in the app itself.

Strange, I tried a few apps. One can choose country, but only "asia". the other app, there's no such selection at all. must I download a special Chinese app?

Hi,

Anyone having issue of viewing Xiaomi Xiaoyi when is on 3G/4G or Wifi that is not home? I can only view it when I'm on home wifi that is the same network as the camera, other than that, cannot even view.
Any solution??

No Motion Detection Alerts

I have the old xiaoyi and new xiaofang camera. Both were working fine until recently i was no longer receiving any motion detection alerts from my iphone app.

Anyone encountered this problem before? the app still have motion detection recording, just that it does not provide alert notifications to the phone.

Phone noticfications are turned on.

Does anyone have problem with MiHome connecting to the camera during office hours? After office hours, it's fine with phone or mifi mobile broadband, but during office hours, it's always cannot connect.

The camera records fine when it detects motion. Just can't view live feed during office hours.

Can I just set it as "record local video only"? I can't be bothered about viewing it online. Just record the video into the SD continuously.
