The stylus pen (Apple Pencil) is a separate accessory; no iPad (Pro or not) comes with it

Pro main difference is the chip used (much more powerful), can use the Apple Pencil and got quad speakers (i.e. got sound at left and right whether portrait or landscape)

To be fair, they now use "1st Gen" and "2nd Gen" to describe the 12.9 inch iPad Pros

Buy iPad Pro, No Regret is the Word!
Screen is Bigger (10.5" vs 9.7"),
Slimmer in thickness,
Better Camera with Flash,
Has True Tone Display,
Faster CPU & GPU Speed!
4 Stereo Speakers
Support Apple Pencil, etc...

The Pro series just basically comes with a smart connector for the keyboard cover and able to use Apple Pencil.

Faster cpu/gpu. Fast charging with USB type c Apple charger. Slimmer 6.1mm. 4 speakers. Better screen true tone display 120hz. Support Apple Pencil and Apple keyboard. 4gb ram

More cases to choose from Apple Store/online.

Future proof longer.

But downside is expensive. $968 cheapest model. Almost 2x more than ipad.

U have to see whether u really need all those horse power to justify 100% more cash.

If not the ipad 2017 A9 is pretty decent. It's a 6s performance with a 9.7inch screen.
