It doesn't work that way. You have to understand that onr itself is already a router.. Either you set your dlink to ap mode or you set the dlink onto another Ip segment..

Thanks for your reply.

Right now, the ONR (LAN Port) is connected to my DLINK router WAN Port - so my DLINK router is still retaining my DHCP, FW and other functionalities. Correct ? What am I missing ?

what model is your dlink ?

my dir-868l have 4 mode
original

I just checked the shops at SLS. That model is phased out. None of them can tell me which model now has that bridge mode (which effectively removes that NAT)

Do you know which DLINK model can do this that is available today ?

Tried that option out even though I am not too comfortable with my router at the DMZ ..

However, it doesnt work. My DLINK is at a static 192.168.2.1. I already put that in the DMZ - even though I think it should be the WAN Public IP of the router ? But my router doesnt have a WAN Public IP. It is using Static now.

Suggestions ?

The dmZ ip should be IP range from the ONR.

THE router 192.168.2.1 is second network ip.

Your dlink should have two ip address.

One is the lan IP 192.168.2.1
One should be IP address issue by the ONR

There are many selling this model in the IT Garage & Carousell.
However I have not played with other Dlink models and not able to advise.

Thanks. I know what you mean. However, it is connected to the ONR via a static IP route (as opposed to the Dynamic DHCP route - that one doesnt work for some reason). Hence it doesn't have an IP address issued by the ONR.

I think it could due to 2 issues.

1. ONR where R = Router with valid IP.

2. Your existing Dlink router may not support your configuration on the existing ONR.

There may have another method, but not sure it could work in your case.
Do take note on all your settings.
Do a factory reset.
Before power on the router, connect via lan cable to WAN port.
Then download this Home WiFi Alert App and open, follow instruction.
From here, you will able to see the actual ip assigned to the router by the onr.
If this work, then try to see adjust the settings to see.

This is how i managed to resolved problem in going to bridge router setting.
This is due to both my main and bridge router is the same model.
Hence i can connect from data point to WAN port of the bridge route.

Sorry if this do not work in your case.
As it work for both Dlink 868 & 865 and the main router is 868.
Then the issue lies in the router.
