Actually I am thinking this way

Save money get asus b350 gaming + 1600

Or
Whack a asus hero or gigabyte k7 x370 + 1600

The later is because next time Ryzen 2 comes out, can just change chip while retaining mobo.. (unlike Intel crap where cannot re use)

What's say you guys?

Thanks! My ram only stable memtry till 2400 17-17-17-17-37 @1.15v :vijayadmin:
I see some other lower preset timing under 2400 too.
Should different timing matters or I can stick on max timing I achieve?
hmmm... thats too low for MFR sticks. ok u can try to ditch d memtry it method. can u try manual setting d ram multiplier (with memtry it & axmp off). start with 2400, timing auto, put vdimm @ 1.35v & work ya way up? MFR should be able to cope with 2800 at pretty tight timing, 14-14-14-14-3x.

oh ya before i forget can u download thyphoon burner to verify d ram chip used on ya sticks?

i'd say go for it. xtra 1xx but u get better mileage & possibly better support (on bios update especially). why not? :D

Hi, I'm looking to get a ryzen 1600 + ASUS PRIME B350-Plus. Like to check if Crucial Ballistix Tactical DDR4-3000 is compatible and will it clock to its full potential?

Ryzen favour even number for CAS Latency. So either 14 or 16. 15 rarely work from my experience.

Sent from PM me if you wanna build a DIY PC or wanna learn how to make one yourself :D using GAGT

is it damn...let me try playing with cl 14 but i know sure fail want :s13:

Depend on freq n ofcourse capabilityof ya ram. I guess ur at 3066? On this particular multiplier (3066),cl15 will be run as cl16. Across all boards, or at atleast 2 boards i've tested. :)

i'm on 2933 atm :o

mind to share which mobo ur using & run typhoon burner to check d chipset used on ya sticks? if Hynix MFR/AFR u should be able to go 2800 @ CL 14 at least. if can't hold CL15 @ 2933/3066 u mite as well whack 3066 @ CL16, prolly 16 18 18 18 3x 2T & see how it goes. :D

Its not in the qvl list when i last checked. So use it at your own risk and ymmv.

Thanks for the advice.

Another question so far I have gathered that there are 2 rams mentioned here a couple of times, corsair vengeance LPX 3200mhz and the g.skill RipJawsV 3000. Which should I go for? Are there any rams around the same price range (no need rgb) that I have missed out?

atm i am at 15 15 15 15 35 1T @ 2933 @1.35V(default) can boot but once boot to window CL turn to 16

ya it's an Hynix since it's an CL15 ram :s22:

you see my spec on the right, incase u cannot see it's ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING

I dunno much about ram OC but are CL14 2800 better than CL16 2933?

2800 @ 14 14 14 1t is way better than 2933 @ cl16. Fyi hynix Afr is better than mfr.

how i know it's afr or mfr as it only show hynix nia leh :(

k i am able to boot up @ 2800 @ 14 14 14 25 1T

do i play with the tRC or set to auto?
auto = 66
manual = i set to 50 for my 2933

dunno placebo effect or what, now i play wow the fps doesn't drop as much on c14 2800 unlike cl16 2933

if it's MFR replace it A with M. right side (part no.). :)

u can check memory efficiency with memtweak it score or even aida. ;)

rip it's an MFR

Then just stick with 2800 @14 14 14 1t. If ya board bios is hynix friendly there could be chance itcan do 3066 or even 3200. But i will still bet my moeny on 2800 cl14 for better efficiency, rather than higher freq but super lax timing. ;)

Thanks so much for your help, i definitely feel it's much smoother than my old 2933 cl16 setting :s12:

Just went to tradepac and bizgram. Ryzen 1600 OOS.

It was OOS since yesterday i went to. Bro just go to MakeFine Store. They are one of the store that let u get $20 NTUC voucher.

They have wide range of Ryzen MB and have stock for 1600.

That where i get my part :s12:

apparently i manage to undervolt my 1600 to 1.2V @ 3.6GHz instead of 1.25V
