Go to any hotel prices comparison website (booking.com, agoda, etc) and key in the dates of your trip. You can easily see which hotels are cheaper. Remember to check the room size of the price that you are interested in. HK hotel rooms are notoriously small. Open up Google maps in another tab to see where the hotels are and if their location is OK with you. Then open another tab go to TripAdvisor to check on their reviews (room condition, actual distance from hotel to mtr / airport, etc) + room photos.

Shortlist a few of what you think you'd like and post here to list your concerns with each of them and ask if there's anymore personal reviews from regulars here (not everyone likes to post reviews on TripAdvisor). If you don't have any concerns then I'm pretty sure you can make your own decision.

If you want to F&E, you need to do your own research. :o

When will you be in hk? Double room?

s$250 for cityview looks like rates for super peak period. Christmas/new year?

Cityview is usually a budget choice. .

Had a quick look at ctrip.sg for 18-22 Oct.

Can get Imperial hotel at tsim sha tsui for $168 and casa at $134. Don't know if there's any service charge to be added.

Casa room is very small, I personally do not like it.

Ctrip prices tends to be slightly lower than agoda and expedia here ...
not sure of the reliability, never booked before ... anyone tried ?

For oct mid, should be offpeak ... but i checked agoda, their price is at least 270sgd per nite ... tats kinda high ... normally their rates should be about 100+ per nite for two

Ctrip is huge with 30,000 employees and are listed in Nasdaq. Priceline owns part of ctrip. Ctrip owns Skyscanner.

u booked before ? everything ok ?
have had bad experience booking from a not so famous site ...
their hotels is always 20% cheaper at least, compared to agoda expedia ...
hence went to book ahead, since that deal was only 30% of what others are giving ...

bookings done. email hotel ... hotel dont want honour the price
have to call to australia ... luckily they have singapore hotline ...
have to chase them for a month to talk to the hotel ... eventually settled ... quite a nitemare though ...

Ctrip is the biggest and most-established travel portal in China. They need not be famous to you as their business serving Chinese tourists within and outside of China eclipses their overseas business. I always use Ctrip for my needs in China- train, air tickets, hotels, packages.

Started using ctrip to book flights few months back, so far so good. Have not tried booking the hotels. So far, I've checked but the prices are not cheaper than agoda for the dates that I want.

Possible but better to look at other alternatives. What dates are you going?
