How to help? You didn't provide any details.

How is the ISP WAN connection connected physically to the Win 10 PC?

How many NICs does the PC have?

I assume you want pfSense to be router here. Or you are just testing?

Does the Win10 PC have a DHCP connection via another router?

How many network cards have you configured in Vmware for the pfSense VM??

My personal view is TS has unrealistic expectations of the level of support a forum can provide and I decline.

I'm out.

Only need to know how to setup at the vmware network section.

Direct setup pfsense was never a problem

Direct install without vmware

I have pfsense running on VMware ESXi with 3 x VM networks incorporating 6 x Intel NICs. Perhaps if you could share a bit more details......

The software does not really matter when you're dealing with 10/100Mbps or 1/10Gbps. As long your hardware + drivers support it, you will get it.

Though be aware that 10Gbps is pretty decently costly for hardware so I don't see much value for home use. More so if you're asking these basic questions which do means that you don't really understand how to get this done..

Pfsense Is a firewall not router.
If referring to router, can try getting the x86 version of ddwrt.

Even with 10gbps, the bottleneck is on the harddisk.

Cheaper option can try link aggregation for a start with 2gbps. Expand gradually when needed till the need for full 10gbps on a single interface.

Although pfsense is a firewall distribution, it's also a very capable router, like a Swiss army knife firewall/router.

Infact I considered pfsense better than ddwrt.

It is anything but simple. That said, you can try ipfire. It works for me. A decent PC build of around S$1.5K
