Ah Zong Mee Sua over-rated. Please avoid.

I hate it when people comment stuff like this, as if he/she is the 'true food expert' and can give an absolute feedback on the food, and whether to taste it or not.

Unless you tell me you are gordon ramsay or jamie oliver then okay i will be slightly swayed by your words.
But you are not. You are just someone who has tried the food and somehow happen to dislike the taste.
What gives you the right to ask other to "PLEASE avoid"? is it food that will give you food poisoning or chop head? i dont think so.

If you are just commenting based on your personal opinion of the food, then at least state why, and say something constructive like "it's too spicy! it's very heavy on the stomach!" so that readers can gain some insights.
And not something like "overrated". who rated it in the first place?

You may think that i'm biased, because i loveeee it so much. But no.
I hate it when people use such strong language with no basis or reasoning.

Peace.

I like both too. And the bbq and steamboat buffet at 东区. Can't remember the restaurant name but very near mrt station.

And some food at certain night markets eg pepper biscuits at Raohe.

Actually Ah zong mee sua to me is overrated too. Something that I dun understand why everyone says is a must-eat. I'm someone who loves meesua, but somehow I just don't understand what's so nice about ah zong mee sua. It's not something I'd want to eat again tbh. But then now that I've tried it, I can't tell first timers that it's not nice and don't try. Because it HAS become something that is a "must try" for first timers regardless of how one feels about it. So despite me not liking it, I will still tell my friend to try it once when we go tw next mth. :s13: if he likes then good, he can finish one bowl himself. If he doesn't like too, then I'll help...

Everyone has their own taste buds. You may not like it but that does not mean others do not like it. Over the years, it has grown on me. At first I also find it so so, but nowadays if I go back I will eat a bowl. Nice!

Taste is subjective. One mans meat is another mans poison. If you like it, good. If you hate it, don’t need to put those who like it down. Personally i have never eaten mee sua before going taipei, but acms is good. Likewise, theres also chen ji

Sorry lai. I find the fact that we need to stand around eating a meesua and that time raining, so really find it over-rated. I will try again. OK. Going peepee now. :)

I don't like to type essay so forgive my short and curt reply. Actually I seldom post.

actually, i prefer ah zhong mee sua when they didnt become so commercialised like now

Last time they really had oysters in the mee sua instead of pig intestines. That one was really good
Then they cut cost and change to pig intestines.. Then not as nice
I rather eat the ones at ningxia nm as its cheaper

Gotta try the ice cream popiah for those who havent eaten it before

As usual price increase over the past 2 yrs *sigh*

Can eat the one at jiufen
Or xmd(push cart type, so u might not see it if the police are ard)
raohe or ningxia nm have also, cant remember which liao

For those who like to eat some tw traditional food.. Can find those small eateries(like at the sides of nightmarkets)..
麻油面线/鸡 can try
药炖排骨 also not bad

Fried chicken dun eat the hotstar one le.. The chicken so thin, batter so much, just eat once can liao
Other types of fried chicken like the 艋甲 fried chicken(the guy artist nono is a partner boss) is nice
There's also another one nightmarkets will have one is 恶魔鸡排, also quite nice
Then got another franchise(usually is shop and not nightmarket stall) also quite nice.
The chicken meat is thick and juicy, batter flavour is nice and not dry like hotstar one..

Wat else......

Deep fried milk can try, its interesting

The grill mua chee at xmd also can try, choose the flavour u like, it'll be nice. Personally i recommend sesame, or condense milk if u got a sweet tooth
