Hi

Need help with building a new PC. Hope can get some recommendations here. Usage mainly gaming, movies and some office work. No intention to overclock. No need windows/kb/mouse/monitor just the cpu. If possible can recommend one for 1.5k budget and what should be spent on if budget increases to 2k (I am assuming better Graphics card since main usage is gaming) Games played mainly Overwatch, HOTS, looking to maybe play Pubg and Destiny. Monitor is 24 inch 1080p.

Thanks in advance!

so this is what I have come up with so far

CPU: Intel i5 8400 with MSI Z370 Pro Carbon
Ram: G.SKILL RIPJAWS V 2400MHZ CL15 ( 8GBx2pcs )
Gfx: ZOTAC GTX 1070 8GB TWIN FAN EDITIONS
SSD: SAMSUNG EVO 850 250GB SSD
HDD: TOSHIBA 2.5" 1TB 5400RPM
PSU: SEASONIC FP FX-550W GOLD
Casing: FRACTAL DESIGN FOCUS ATX WINDOW

Hope can hear some advise to optimise it.

That's a pretty good deal, but you can save money by buying RAM from Amazon Prime now.

If you buy all that in one shot from the same shop, can get better price too.

Would recommend seasonic focus PSU instead. 10 years warranty for 10 bucks more.

Edit - my bad. Just realized that is focus.

Just some general choices for PSU.

CPU: Intel i5 8400 with Asrock Z370M PRO 4 $459
Ram: CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 2666MHZ CL16 (8GB X 2) $285

HDD: TOSHIBA 2.5" 1TB 5400RPM $63
PSU: SEASONIC FP FX-550W GOLD $145 --> Superflower Leadex ii or Evga Supernova G3. Evga one is based on the Superflower so just see which one u like eg. the pins it uses and the warranty. Sometimes the type of pinheads can help u recycle cables. For Superflower they always use the cube shape while Evga uses the standard 6pin.
Casing: C.M MASTER BOX LITE 3.1 TEMPERED GLASS $89

U should see if Qoo10 or Lazada offers with coupons. I believe your cost can then be lowered.

Just stick to what you like. The seasonic focus is pretty good. Both superflower leadex & EVGA supernova G3 are good too.

Personally, would pick seasonic focus simply because 10 years warranty vs 5 years warranty.
