[NAS] Synology NAS owner club!

So recommended HDD for Synology NAS is Toshiba/WD/Hitachi? What model or type? I remem WD shud b red rite?

But it's Seagate. No confidence

On top of that, 1 yr warranty

did a check, warranty is until sep 2019 but same thing, no confidence on seagate :s13:
just brought it cause cheap and im not storing important data on it

for me is in the order below
1) Hitachi(HGST) desktop nas
2) Toshiba normally people just get the normal desktop hdd
3) WD(Red) Not recommended for Synology, most people have issue with it, can go research

Ooh den I'm still quite lucky, still using WD red for 4yrs already.. I need to replace d HDDs soon. I'm thinking of getting another NAS DS918+.. the RAMs can change anytime by myself rite? Not necessarily b4 first use?

Ram is still using DDR3, so don't wait too long. Else hard to find.
