Imo u can take out Chadstone mall and Luna park.
Chadstone is something like our Mbs.
Luna park unless you're a crazy fan of rides, I wouldn't recommend because doesn't look worth it. Prudential carnival ride looks more fun

If you're going Philip island to see penguin, just go st Kilda instead, it's free penguin viewing

You can try replacing your whole of Monday with Great Ocean Road tour.

But I went to the Philip Island website and they said got other sights there like chocolate factory and stuff .. this not worth making the trip?

Yea one of the plan was to watch penguins... but again they come up in the am which I’m not there yet.. and go in the evening which means
Have to stay late and make the trip back

Are there any hot springs in and around Melbourne? In laws were keen..

Is there any near attractions?

I googled and only had Peninsula at Mornington which is quite far .. abt 100+ km one way out of Melbourne and ard there are golf courses

My friend who went to both Philip island and st kilda pier said he regretted paying to go Philip island. I've never been there though so don't take my word for it.

I plan to get local telco.. as changi WiFi only have the MIFI means must stay together .. also from what I know from my last trip to SYD.. their local data is super cheap
