Not bad leh. Only i3-8100 same price as local.

You guys think this is a worth buy?
Or should I just hoot a $70 replacement motherboard and wait until the other price all comes lower?

To me, is hoot 2nd hand mobo and dong until ram/ssd price drop. This year should start dropping at H2 as Samsung rev up their production for ddr4 ram this year.

Got these from mixture of Amazon Prime (For free delivery) & Newegg:

Newegg:
MSI B350M Pro-VD Plus AM4 Motherboard ~$82
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 2400 ~ $122
Delivery ~ $38

Amazon Prime:
AMD Ryzen 3 1200X 3.4GHz ~ $149

Total: ~$371 (with -$20 newegg promo code)

You still have $129 for Graphics Card.

I got the Asus Radeon RX 550 4GB DDR5 @ $135.60 on Amazon Prime (offer).

Yesterday I saw they are selling RX 560 @ $155 on Lazada.

My strategy is to get a single piece ram and sit out and wait for the dd4 prices to go down and get the 2nd piece for dual channel.

OT:
I also got a PNY SSD 120GB from Amazon Prime for ~ $65

Thanks a lot for the replies man.
I will just be upgrading my GPU while waiting for more Z370 boards and for the bloody rams to drop first.
I know I will be getting i3-8100 for sure. *salivating*

I made a comparison list of the existing GPUs and prices across Carousell, Shopee and Lazada.

ZOTAC GTX 1050 4GB Ti $246
ZOTAC GTX 1050 2GB Low Profile $199
MSI GTX 1050 4GB Ti OC $229
MSI GTX 1050 2GB AERO ITX OC $195
MSI GTX 1050 2GB Low Profile $219
MSI GTX 1050 4GB Low Profile $259
GALAX GTX 1050 4GB Ti EXOC $239
GALAX GTX 1050 2GB OC $179
Gigabyte GTX 1050 2GB $205
Gigabyte GTX 1050 4GB Ti $280
Palit Storm X GTX 1050 2GB $180
Palit Storm X GTX 1050 4GB Ti $225
ASUS GTX 1050 2GB $215 / $185
ASUS GTX 1050 4GB Ti OC $259

My mobo is as follows:

i5-3470
ASUS B75M-Plus
EVGA GTX 650 1024 MB
Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB
Thermaltake 500W/550W
NZXT Guardian 921 RB Mid Tower Case

Would it be possible for a GTX 1050 to fit in this mobo? I hope it can be a simple plug and play. Been so long since I dabbled in all these. :s22:

P.S What is low profile btw? I am tentatively looking at GTX 1050 Ti 4GB. Any recommendations for brand wise?

Just as an FYI

The longer you take to decide, the more expensive the GPUs become
Regardless of where you wish to compare, just click on the buy now button, if you see a GPU with prices you can accept

For the current climate
GPU is like a Stock Market Bullrun
1050 earlier on was $189 before discounts
1050TI $219 before discounts
Now, your selections limited to the " Premium " Stuff but then again, there's only so much performance you can squeeze out of the 1050 series coz the price of a premium 1050TI coul have gotten a 1060 2gb

If buying on Laqzada, you will be takinhg a chance of an " Out of Stock" scenario when voucher windows open so do bear that in mind.

If buying from Carousell: Confirm with the Seller first on stock availability, then " MAKE OFFER " to confirm stock, coz prices can hike with the span of a morning.. ;)
Unless the seller has Stock on Hand, they may advertise prices, but later " Have no stock "

If buying from SLS, call to reserve stock before heading down. Saw lots of lost sould today walking around SLS wondering why 1060 hard to find.
SO unless you have good connections, be prepared to either aim low, or aim high...

I feel that this one is a long-term investment, like finding our significant other, take some time nvm one. My rig lasted for 6 years already and still going strong because of the extensive research I did. But thanks for the heads up man.
