This is a mid range phone... But price is like high end phone... I can get xperia xz1 for 690 or even xz premium for 780....

street price probably $598 for the a8? I think a5 2017 street price was also around there?

I guess Samsung is trying to use the Galaxy A8(2018) series to compete with OPPO R11s series, with similar pricing and similar specs/features to offer.. :o

I see. Hopefully Street price for A8 and A8+ much cheaper. I quite like the design as compared to s8 and s8+..

yes, will be trading my s7e for a8 when available. hopefully, the top up will be less than $200

A8 for me.

Is it cos u prefer a smaller screen/phone? A8's screen resolution would be sharper since its screen is smaller but with the same resolution ya?

A8/A8+ are out in JB samsung stores

A8: RM1799
A8+: RM2499

Both 32GB ROM

Hopefully SG brings in the 64GB version for A8+ and telcos have good bundle deals
