Let me guess.
2x Grab passengers dropped their mobile phones in TS's grab car on 2 separate occasions and he go and sell it in Malaysia instead of returning the mobile phones back to the passengers?

Sent from Xiaomi MI MAX 2 using GAGT

The handphones were most probably left in the Grabcar. The driver knew or ought to know that the phones were dropped by the passenger(s), did not return or attempt to return them to the owner(s) but in fact kept the phones as his own.

Driver own "in~car's rule":

Finders keepers, losers weepers?

Given if the mentioned is true; this friend of yours is way brain~less.

If someone dropped the handphone in his/her GrabCar, it is so easy to track lo.
Must be a desperate driver to have turn to greed(for cash) instead of honesty.

Free the fellow back to his own country can singapore's government should take back the PR instead.
Dont need such human herr just to make the number....

No need to shy la TS. TS = “my friend”

Everyone who asks questions here under a guise of “my friend” is always themselves.

Oh hope you get your PR revoked

TS I also guess your friend pick up riders that drop their hp in his car after alighting them and then sold it in Malaysia after that. If is true I will said he deserved it and no need give sympathy.

Whoever dishonestly misappropriates or converts to his own use movable property, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with both.

So, to answer the question ‘What do you think will be the verdict [sic]?’, we will visit some of the prominent cases where serious criminal offences were commited by permanent residents.

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) confirms that:
Any permanent resident (PR) who has been convicted of an offence will have his PR status reviewed by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority.

It was also reported that the ICA “... also has a longstanding policy of revoking the PR status of foreigners who are convicted of crimes.” and “... PRs must respect and abide by Singapore's laws.

Accordingly, if the verdict is guilty, it is likely that the offender will be punished accordingly and have his permanent residency revoked.

TS, be a man, just admit and case close, you drag longer, go for trial etc, your fine will be harsher.

Instead of returning the handphones to the owners, he sold them off in Malaysia, I think he deserves to be punished. :zonia:

Deserved to be punished.

Blatant greed. Could have easily returned the phones but chose to sell it off in Malaysia. Malaysia cause want to avoid detection in SG. No remorse at all.
