Japan ski shops normally rent ski jacket and pants, so if you don't want to buy your own you can rent. If you wanna buy but don't want to spend a lot, can buy at decathlon (but the designs a bit boring lah).

Even if you decide to rent, I recommend buying at least your own ski gloves.

Helmet, YMMV but I personally don't think it's necessary. But some sort of head/ears cover (for warmth) is a must. Goggles also are really nice to have so you don't get snow in your eyes, I think Japan ski shops also rent goggles.

Note that if you go Europe to ski, rental shops there do NOT rent clothes, you have to buy your own.

Day 6 (Thur) >> Empty for now, maybe Onsen

Day 8 (Sat) >> Kuromon Ichiban Market - Free & EZ
Day 9 (Sun) >> Return to SG via afternoon flight

why split kyoto into 2 separate days with Nara in between?

Hi guys, can i check what hotels are you guys staying in Osaka and Kyoto?

I will be heading to Osaka/kyoto with my wife and child from 5th - 10th Dec. Any hotel recommendations? that is near train stations/subways? I will probably squeeze in Universal studios and Nara in between.

Bus from Haneda airport to Kawaguchiko

May I know for the bus from Haneda airport to Lake Kawaguchiko are we able to make a reservation by phone? Do they require payment by a certain deadline?

I have tried booking online via the Japanese site but it seems that they require payment few days before departure through convenience stores. My plan is after arriving at Haneda then take the bus to Lake Kawaguchiko. But if can't make reservations, the timing is left to fate

net reservation with many service providers in Japan is limited or based on using their version of AXS. If you really want to, you get a friend to deal with the conbini part for you?

For some reason, not everything can paid remotely using credit card. I have booked stuff from JR-Eki net and I really do not want to do it again but they offer nice packages. They take credit card but the process of securing everything in the booking is

last year, around May, I also took bus from haneda to kawaguchiko. Just go to the bus ticket office and buy, the bus only half full !
