Did anyone managed to update successfully? Tried yesterday but always "Update Failed". So i go Dlink Technical Support (US) and gotten Security Advisement (1.20B01 BETA) Dated 02/28/18. Followed the 2-steps update (meaning must flash 2 .bin files) with no problems, also all my settings remains. In the Status column, it shows Firmware Version : 1.20 Tue 28 Nov 2017. Lastly, i tried one last time DIR868LA1_FW121SHC.bin but still "Update Failed".

Please do show the full page as it is not 2018 but 2015.
As for the download on next item is dated 08/14/2015.
Most likely this is an older version .

For DLink equipment refer to this link;

https://sg.mydlink.com/download#

There are full list of routers with firmware, etc.

Cannot be 2015, since v1.09SHC build is already March 2017, definitely will be late 2017 or 2018 firmware because i upgrade from v1.09SHC to v1.13 (Beta) to now currently v1.20B1(Beta) the firmware build date shown is Nov 2017 and I cannot even downgrade back. I directly use FTP to Dlink online server, v1.20B1 Beta is the latest security patch firmware.

Cannot be v1.21SHC is older than v1.09SHC (which is the latest currently), it don’t make any sense, v1.21SHC update fail though...

Yup for some reason v1.21SHC flash fail too, I think the file is corrupt, they did state include login guide file, it’s also not there.

Dlink firmware page is all over the place and show different firmware on different Dlink website for the same router. 🙄

Just spoken to DLink technical support regarding DIR-868L firmware matters.

For Starhub subscribers, it is recommend to use only 1.09SHC version.

Whereas for other providers global version 1.20B01 is fine.

There is no version 1.21.

For your info.

Oic, thanks for the update, so it show thar Dlink staff are sleeping, making a typo in the date but what about the fail update when we try to upgrade it from either v1.09SHC or v1.20 (beta), fail to upload v1.21SHC firmware. I think the file itself is corrupt.

However when attempt to update, it will failed.
Haiz............!!!!!

How many download site does Dlink have? Can't they consolidate into one standardized website that support firmware update, LOL. They are really a total mess compare to ASUS firmware download site.

1. http://www.dlink.com.sg/starhub/DIR-868L.html
2. http://www.dlink.com.sg/dir-868l/#firmware
3. http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DIR-868L
4. ftp://ftp2.dlink.com/

Haha ... if they can make mistake in typo then there could be mistake in wrong file.

3. http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DIR-868L
4. ftp://ftp2.dlink.com/

Since they had given the link officially in the online conversation, then i would say the link #1 is the correct one.

As there was a previous link which was in the same format, that i had was broken and so this link could be the latest updated.

As according to link #3 above, that firmware is 1.20B01 BETA which dated 02/28/2018 which you had updated without any problem.

So i guess the version 1.21 is still pending.
More like in testing mode for their testers, if any, with some sort of instruction on how to update or any additional detail required.
This is base on what the mentioned as R&D team that may used that website for their own purpose.
As there could be due to bug or something they did not indicated.
Anyway it may not be ready for users to update yet, i guess...

Regards.

Have just downloaded fully working "DIR868LA1_FW121SHC.zip" file, and tried the 2-steps updates: after applying the first file "DIR868LA1_FW110SHC.bin", my firmware still remains as my recently updated version "1.20 Tue 28 Nov 2017". Then i tried applying the second file "DIR868LA1_FW121SHC.bin", the message "Firmware Upload Fail" shows up.

i read the PDF documents carefully again, and realised that "Firmware: v1.20B01 BETA" dated "February 28, 2018" is actually newer than the one released for StarHub's "Firmware:FWv1.21SHC" dated "2017/12/19". Anyway, i have no problem with my router/network.

So I downloaded firmware ver 1.21 from http://www.dlink.com.sg/starhub/DIR-868L.html. Uploaded 1.10 and rebooted ok. Uploaded 1.21, message "firmware upload fail" shows up, no countdown clock... but the router rebooted and then the config page version showed 1.21SHC!!

Current Firmware Version : 1.21SHC
Current Firmware Time : 02/02/2018 15:25:00

Fingers became itchy - so tried to see if can downgrade firmware - when reboot still 1.21SHC
(earlier firmware versions can upgrade/downgrade as desired)
Wondering if it is really 1.21SHC - maybe the version number only got upgraded..
Anyway no problem surfing so far....

Note: The router firmware will be required to upgrade TWICE throughout the entire process.

You will be required to upgrade to Firmware 1.10SHC followed by Firmware 1.21SHC.
