I'm using it as a repeater and its pretty fast, compared to using AC56S and DIR-868L for repeater
At the end of the day, if your devices only have 2 streams, the max link rate you can get is 300Mbps (2.4GHz, 40MHz, MCS15) or 867Mbps (5GHz, 80MHz, MCS9).I saw the comparison on the speed supported.
Old version is AC1900 with 600Mbps (2.4GHz) and 1300Mbps (5GHz).
So the v2 should be AC2600 instead of AC1900 since it is 800Mbps (2.4GHz) and 1733Mbps (5GHz)?
Nah..I saw the comparison on the speed supported.

Only thing is you get MU-MIMO and beamforming, but MU-MIMO requires all devices connected to support it or it will not work.
Nah..
The router is AC1900+ as this plus is to differentiate original AC1900 and v2.
Manufacturer do not create separate category if it is just some enhancement & improvement over previous.
Understood. I m just interpreting the new version speed and the AC rating based on it.... Coz I saw someone in carousell selling this and referring it as AC2600...
The AC2600 is a different version known as Linksys EA8500.
Don't be confused with either of them.
Linksys do have various range of routers to suit to each individual needs.
As Linksys AC1900+ is known as Linksys EA7500-AH model.
Starhub router is a AC1900+ la. But No Security by Trend Micro like TP-Link and ASUS router.
That "security" is an attack on your on privacy
Linksys EA7500-AHv2 comes with 3 external antennas (dual-band) and 1 internal antenna.
Does anyone know whether the single internal antenna support 2.4 GHz band only or it is also a dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band antenna? I called Starhub technician and he has no clue at all.
If the single internal antenna only support 2.4 GHz band, then if I switched off the 2.4 GHz band on the router setting page, it is as good as totally disabled the single 2.4 GHz band internal antenna.
As a MIMO router, the wifi signal is transmits and receives through all its antennas
Go Goggle and do some reading on this "Understanding 802.11n wireless antennas"
Anybody know how does this compared to the Asus RT-AC1200G+ in terms of range? is it better?
How does this compare to the ASUS RT-AC68U? The specs are pretty similar.
Finally got my Linksys EA7500 today.
Speed not bad compared to Dlink DIR-868L
Can't believe 3rd SH contract.
