yes, WebOS 2.0 is crap.

i am on the same OS TV too. Will never touch LG again after it breaks.

Samsung on the other hand works extremely well with DSVideo.

i can run some 4K content actually.. not all.

finally got my first nas, 216j with ironwolf 4TB. DS video works perfectly on apple tv to my jurasic 40 ledtv. haha

anyway a few questions,

1. I cant access my nas if not connected to my home network
2. is there any way to transfer existing movie collection aside from USB drive attached to NAs then copy?

I have around 1.5Tb of movies to move

1. Open router port and allow traffic in accordingly or simply use Synology apps dsfile and or etc

2. Connect to your PC and transfer via Lan/wireless

Do u transcode to stream to samsung tv or native?

Yes, Samsung can install even on older Samsung smart TVs

Native. I don't like transcode waste time. My nas cannot do it on the fly anyway (ds1515+ is crap).

Hence i got Asustor to do the job now. No need transcode. Just HDMI. Easiest and supports anything u throw to it for LG.

If on Samsung, dsvideo is great.

Have, but i doubt you will fully utilize it so don't bother

Don't understand this question
Did you meant connect externally to transfer?

Have, subscribe to 1Gbps internet both ways with 1Gbps WAN router on both ends.

Hi Bro,
My home NAS is connect to Viewquest 2Gbps plan.

Setup as below:
VQ Router -> Orbi Main unit -> 2 port DS916+ & 1 Port to PC.
Home transfer using I login and map the NAS drive still ok but file transfer rate never above 100mbps.

However if I'm outside and connect thru either iPhone DS apps or another PC from my parents place.
The file transfer rate thru Quick Connect web login is super slow....

Is there any ways to improve?

100mbps = MB or Mb? Your PC is on GbE or FE? Your NAS is on GbE?

If you are getting 100MB/s, you are already achieving your top throughput from your PC.

That's why i say you won't need 2 ports. You don't even know what you need to do to make use of the 2ports.

I don't use quick connect. I use DDNS(router), port forward(router) and sftp (nas) to do transfers externally
