Device is one plus 2, in terms of specs it's ain't too bad.

But it's really laggy for me now and asking if there's is a solution other than factory reset

Current it's taking 16gb of 52 gb available

You got to find out whats making your phone lag. Too many apps running in the background? A rouge app using lots of resources? Or simply the os cant make it. These are just few reasons of the hundreds that might be lagging your phone down.

Do update the software as it said to have some improvement.

Most phone brands may come with Security App and related useful apps.
You may need to look into your phone on the Apps and Settings.

Housekeeping.
Close all apps if not in use as this may free some ram for use on current app.
Restart the phone may help to resolve & release ram.
Maintain the phone storage by removing unwanted files or send to external drives.

Some Apps can be Disable by means > Settings > Apps - select the App and Disable it.
This will disable all function of the App which is unable to uninstall.
Take note that some Apps are needed by the system &or related.
So disable apps that are not part of the system or related.

Best is to copy everything to your pc and factory reset. If after reset and reinstall your apps and it still happens, theres the chance of bad cluster on your emmc chip.
