What's the period of inactivity before the bank "deactivate" the account? I have reached 150k but I just leave the interest inside to compound the bonus interest.

Standard one leh. Most of the banks will consider your account dormant if no activity within certain period, usually in one year.

Different banks have different criteria, but typically >6 months. Usually 1 year but some maybe 2 year.

Inactivity also got different levels.

some banks:
active --> inactive --> dormant

some banks:
active --> dormant

Requires some effort to reactivate your "inactive" account, depending on the inactive "level".

Again here it differs amongst banks.
some as simple as a phone call for inactive account.
some need to go to branch.
dormant ones most likely have to go to branch as they need to see the physical person owning the account.

u can call CSO helpline and ask.
alternatively, u can try to FAST in $1 to see whether it is accepted.
I believe citi is 1 year or longer.

Interest crediting is initiated and done by the bank, so not counted as account being active as performed from the account owner side.

Thanks for the replies. I assume interest isnt counted.

Wow 0.7% of sibor rate now

From 2.3% drop to 2.166% base on 1.38% sibor

If this is real, I wonder if you can terminate account without penalty for those who just signed up <6months.
