I'm intending to switch from my old EOS 500D DSLR to mirrorless cam.
Which do you guys recommend? Is M50 more like those DSLR 80D ranges?
Was able to feel both M50 and M5, M5 feel feels better. But M5 is slighter older model.

I feel the main advantages of the M5 over the M50 are
- Larger buffer when shooting burst for fast action
- slightly larger screen (by .2 inch I think)
- exposure comp dial useful for shooting in modes other than manual

Otherwise, save a few $ and get the M50.

Just came back from PC show, the EOS M50 is throwing lots of freebies. I've asked to remove some, but they say can't give too much discounts as free gifts is by manufacturer.

The kit M15-45mm cost $1099
The kit M15-45mm & M55-200mm cost $1469.

Both comes with free 2x 32GB SD card, Google home mini, mini tripod, camera bag and eos M mount adapter.

The eos M mount adapter seems very worth as freebies. I've asked if I can remove the Google home mini for more discount, they say max $50 only.

Thereafter I go best denki imm check, They offer the same price but lesser gifts, no adapter.

What do u guys suggest. Get at pc show?

I think that's a good offer. Maybe I get it. But I am also looking at the Olympus EM10 mk 2. Wonder whether they got it there. Will go there for a look. Thanks.

I tried the ‘M50. It is not bad. However, if u include the M mount, I think it is much thicker than typical DSLR. No point getting M50 then attach a EFS lens. Kind of strange.

Only way is to fit the EFM lens

Ok la, i find the M mount not as thick as i expected. Idk, is it worth to get the M55-200mm kit too or just get M15-45mm.

If not I can get the M15-45mm kit first, then hunt for good deals buy separate M55-200mm

Depends on what u take. If just landscape and street photography, then I think pointless. If u go to zoo, museum etc, u may need some close up. Personally I don’t really do zoom in.

Thanks william. I think I shall just get the 15-45mm lens will do. $1099 quite good deal. I'm more to street landscape photography, no much zoom needed. I've checked online, I can buy the lens (55-200mm) at cheaper price. I'll get it if i need it,
