534GP for 1 cabin, I also cannot afford to go wor. I was told it refers to Genting Highland GP. The first time I called DC to book my cabin in March, I recalled that I had 499GP in my Genting Highland card and short of a few points to book a inside stateroom, hence, I paid $$ for my first trip to dream cruise.
They will revise the points for cabin redemption, 534 points for 1 cabin is ridiculous !

Just checked and noted the redemption is 230GD (USD) or 20 Cruise Credits for a 3D/2N Wed-Fri Port Klang Cruise Interior Stateroom plus the usual Sea Port Taxes and Gratuity. Crazy.

How much do they charge for movies ?
Is the snorkelling done at the beach or must take a boat out?
If i have to choose between redang and koi samui, which should I choose? Thanks

There are quite a number think 10-15 movies on demand FOC available in the cabin TV. Many are quite recent. They also have scheduled show time to watch on the big screen at main lobby, Zodiac Theater or Zouk Beach Club big screen at Aft of the Ship also FOC.

Snorkelling can be done near to the main beach near to the Hut from the famous Chinese Movies Summer Holiday casting Richie Ren and Sammy Cheng. However there nothing much to see. Best to go to other side of the island near to the Marine Park Centre. You can join their Shore Excursion to bring you there.

Both Redang or Koh Samui have their own attractions depends on what you really want to do or see like Sea Activities, Shopping or Sight-Seeing to Temples etc..

Alternatively, GD has the mini Sub-Marine capable to carry up to 4 paxs and 200m depth. Saw they offered this at Redang and cost is SGD880/pax for a 30mins journey.

Cruise Credit is an additional reward to players. DC abolish the Cruise Credits system and let Genting Points take over the booking system is following the old Star Cruise method.
Genting points are equivalent to money and likely DC wants players to spend the Genting Points to book for cabins instead of converting them to negotiable credits to play.
I am comfortable with the new system, for those regulars who do not maintain Genting points in their account may be affected. However DC also promised that they will SMS free cabin to selective members. No Genting point does not mean you will never get a cabin, just have to wait for their invitation message.

Don't forget there is also the Crystal Cruise Credit if you check your points onboard the enquiry kiosk. Seem like they wanted to offer Cruise on their Crystal Cruises Ships too but too bad they don't come to SG. Guess these will also be expired too unless they have plan to bring Crystal Cruises here in future.

Not many have a few hundred GP to redeem a cabin, if they don't revise to 20 ~30 GP for a cabin, they will hardly get people to go onboard.
Members who wish to travel will have no choice but to wait for DC to message them for free cabin give away, but don't forget not all dates suit everyone.
Really don't understand what is their marketing crews doing, hope they don't make things difficult after Sept.
p/s: Not sure if the Crystal points can be used at Crystal Spa at deck 15 since the title of the Spa has the word Crystal?:D

This problem was already happened since years ago when SuperStar Virgo/Gemini were still in SG. Heard many patrons only earn about 10 to 25GP average for a 3D/2N cruise and almost impossible for them to redeem if they increase unless they SMS to Invite. Probably they gave away too much 1 for 1 for last few months now starting to block.

Think it was shown as Crystal Cruise Credit and in number of Night similar as the Dream Cruise Credit. Don't think is related to the Crystal Spa. :s13:

You can also use your GD/GP to pay for the Sea Port Taxes and Gratuity. Just too bad they no longer offer what was available on SuperStar Virgo/Gemini giving 50% discount if pay by Point.

Movies are free.

You can DIY snorkeling at the beach or pay extra for a boat to take you to popular snorkeling area.

Really depends. There is really nothing much to do at Redang other than the beach. The wait for the tender boat (ship's life boats) also crazy long unless you buy excursion or took the earliest boat.

Koh Samui got more tender boats (bigger local boats). Also more things to see and do. Chaweng beach also better than Redang beach imo (nice soft sand instead of dead corals at Redang beach).

I am on GD now.

My question is for kia.

Now that they have stop giving out cc would you still go on the ship.
You cannot get any more cc and use it to go on the ship.
I know your have some remaining cc but if they do give you any more free cruises would you still go on the ship and gamble.

Yes, but not as frequent. No cruise credit cannot redeem cabin, must call to check if have free cabin, very troublesome and I am lazy to call.

I am at utter confusion as to what Genting is doing. Are they really wanting to exist the gambling business. Gambling is in their DNA. Yet without any incentive except for the high roller this would very likely be the outcome.

They can get the Indian tourist on board with very low prices but there are others like RCL and others and they are not going to stand still and see Genting taking business away from them.

Who do you call to ask for free cabin? How do you qualify?

As long as you have Resorts World At Sea Membership, you may entitle for cabin, but need to call the hotline which is very difficult to get someone to answer.
The hotline for Gold Card is 62207801
For basic and silver card - Sorry, I don't know.

I just want to add that the number is the same for silver. It had been very difficult to get through but after all the question about the recent casino changes there would not be a problem getting through.

High rollers like kia can just sit back and wait for GD to SMS you. The only question is whether they would offer you palace deluxe with a butler or just balcony.
For others including silver the days of free cruise is over.

Boarding GD now for 4D3N Phuket. Since we are in Palace Suite, we were escorted and bypass the queue in immigration and go straight to the lounge. OMG....we are the only local Singaporean in the lounge. All others are CECA.
