GES, GET and GEH! :) thank you!

For GET I would recommend GET1020 Darwin and Evolution. I took it in 2016/17 Sem 1. Just 2 2-hours lecture per week. No tutorial. Interesting content, especially the second half of the module. Assessment only one mid-term and one final exam, each 50 MCQs, so getting 1 question correct is equivalent to getting 1% of the overall grade. Bell-curve can be pretty steep though.

I wouldn't say I know a lot, but I know enough to pass technical interviews/tests from companies.

Havent finish GES but did GET and GEH.

GET I did GET1029 Life, Universe and Everything. Essentially philo exposure mod, quite interesting. Got weekly online quiz (I think about 36%), project and finals (~40%). Make sure do with a friend to discuss with friend for quiz and project.

GEH I did Living with Mathematics. Content can mug in one or two days because very mechanical just drill question. But bellcurve tough.

Hello!

Any GEMs recommendations? I am not sure what GEMs to take! Thanks for helping out! :)

If you have strong math background, I recommend Living with Mathematics. I got B+ though. The bell curve is very steep.

If you want something interesting, can try Einstein's Universe.

Hello fellow Mech Engineer! Y3 here.
Not too sure about ACC1701X, but for GEM1535/GEH1034, I've friends who has taken this mod be4. All of them did relatively will (at least A-) with little effort, so I think you can try.
Not sure if there would be changes to the ME curriculum, but you can take GEH1034 to clear your GE requirements.

Hope you'll have fun in ME!! :s12::s12::s12:

Haha hello senior!

I'm probably writing in to ask the faculty if I can read ME2134 and PC1431 in the same sem. I wanna go for the aeronautical specialization since I have a strong interest there. Was formely from NP aerospace :D

I think by doing so I'll only have 1x UEM to play around with, might leave it until SEP so can use as buffer in case module mapping screw up

Did you specialize and/or go for SEP btw?

Hi! I was from NP aero and now in nus ME.
why do you want to read ME2143? it's not a pre req for any modules for aero spec

Will freshmen be protected in Round 2A for GEMs? Some GEMs has such high bid points according to past records.

It's a prereq for ME2135 which in turn is a prereq to most aero mods.

Edit: oh just realised I put wrong module code in my original post LOL

Anyways, what year are you in now? :) how's uni life so far?

You'll take ME2134 as per sample schedule in Y3S1, then take ME2135 in Y3S2.

You can clear the 4 Aero TEs after in Y4, or if you are going SEP you can map some TEs back to NUS.

I'm going Y3! I'm good! Remember to enjoy uni life as much as you can and dont just coop up in your room and study all day :) I did Aero in poly but I'm going to spec in energy now though.
