Just to check, anyone here still waiting for panel interview for SO?
I applied 25 April and only went for document submission on 11 June. They will probably take a month to reply you back. For salary wise... I guess? You can enquire about that during the document submission.
I'm still waiting for an email for the panel interview, and they'll probably take about a 1-1.5 months too?
Just to check, anyone applied for SO position after 4 June and received an email for document submission already?
i just got an email inviting me over for doc submission on the 9th of July - inspector position. Was your first interview done over 2 sessions? I find it a bit weird. Document submission in the morning and written test in the afternoon.
What exactly do we have to write on for the written test? Did they take your height and weight?
Hello there, I really wouldn't call it an interview? It's rather more like a chit-chat session with the HR personnel in a room with other applicants as well. The chit-chat session is only during the document submission. For written test, you don't have to write anything. it's more of a personality test to see if you're fit for the position, I guess? Nope, not for me. But I saw other males getting their height and weight taken.
Do update me here if you got a call for panel interview after document submission.
As I'm still waiting for it, don't even know if I'm rejected or gone through the next stage.
Just curious. Anyone also going for the course training that starts on 30 July for direct entry inspector?
Thank you!
Panel was around may 11 I think. Then document was 1-2 weeks before that. Applied online around a month before that
I didn’t put an expected salary so they just offered. I didn’t try negotiating but I highly doubt that it’s possible with government agencies. They will call you first. Then send an email
Thank you!

Hi there, do they call u up for health screening first before getting the letter of acceptance? Congratulation for receiving the offer.
Also, I applied for Direct Entry Sergeant, this week is my 6th week of waiting and they told me I will know my current status latest by 8 weeks. Is it normal or anyone has to wait this long after interview? Hopefully I will get good news soon!
Which stage are you in now? You must go for interview first then medical screening. Yes each stage need to wait around 1-2 month
Ahhh. Wish I knew earlier haha. I’m pretty sure I could have negotiated for higher also as I also have masters and fch degree. But I guess I’m satisfied already it’s too late anyway
Ahhh sorry to hear about your rejection. I tried for moe before and got rejected after the interview stage
Hi guys,
I received an email of rejection today on the 9th week.
I will try again when time comes....
Good luck for those who has been accepted.
Hi bro, sorry for the rejection. Cheer up! Perhaps you could try Singapore Customs? It's not the end.
Anyway all the best to me. Applied online on 11/08 for JO. Received a message & email (14/08) from them to send Document Submission & Assessment tomorrow.
But guys, one of my cousin works in ICA so will that help as I have stated at the form for his name & ic. I mean the chances? I don't know haha.
