- Imagine being diagnosed with cancer
- Bad enough?
- Imagine finding out that you already had the exact same cancerous tumour since a year ago, but the doctor had missed it.
You were vigilant. You went to the doctor immediately after finding something different about your body, but the doctor who did the biopsy missed it. In other words, the biopsy performed by the doctor was inaccurate. (just as an aside, you paid SGD$1700 for this biopsy, you thought the doctor's expertise was worth it)
- This inaccurate biopsy led to your cancer only being diagnosed about a year later. In the time interval, the cancer had grown-
- Now you need much more extensive and invasive treatments and face greater side effects and risks. (examples of extra treatment needed due to the delay: 16 cycles of chemo and 25 sessions of radiation, etc. )
- What would you do, how would you feel?
PM me if you have similar experience or suggestions to offer. TIA.
