The new series 4 for Singapore will not do ECG. That's the only function I want in the new watch.

Is it because Haven pass the medical requirement in SG? maybe is something that can be unlocked via software update.

Yes you can. What SingTel will do is that they will cancel your current number share and then reset for new watch. No extra charges. That's what they did for me when i had to change my the Apple Watch I had dropped with a new watch.

Thanks for the info Karenwoods!

$749 for a watch that people would likely upgrade every 2-3 years.. ouch!
(I know.. and see the "don't want can don't buy la." comments coming. lol)

ECG is not mentioned on the Singapore Apple Watch site.
As I understand it, it will be made available to US users later this year only.

I think it is probably built in but country dependent.

Maybe all the hardware already include the functionality .. but need the software app to include it. So maybe if got USA itunes account can get the app to download .. and probably won't be available to download from SG store ..

yeah. since you always get palpitation at work, you should and you must change to s4 and do the check every day. 30 seconds only, you can afford. :D

Yes I’ve read that the ECG requires an app which will only be available later this year and is only for US market. The cool thing on how it reads is by placing a finger on the digital crown.

In fact, the main reason I’m looking forward to the Series 4 is also the ECG feature but since only available for the US market, not sure if still want to buy.

But the larger screen and able to squeeze in 3 more complications compared to the current Modular watch face is a plus. Price wise...still quite expensive.

The screen is quite a lot larger on the 44mm than my current 42mm. Even the new 40mm’s screen area is larger than mine!

No ECG might as well stick with my series 3 GPS :(

ECG is the main feature of the new Series 4 with its new back sensors. Dunno y Apple want to limit only to US market. Even if buy the new watch here, also cannot use.

The 44mm will be just nice on my wrist and I also prefer larger watches.

Decisions, decisions....If want to buy, tomorrow must go make the order, else forget about it.
