NLB discontinued it many years ago. Now some selected libraries have a book exchange corner where you can leave your books for others to pick up or you pick up other books.

Typically, the books there are super old.

was there some official announcement about this? That would be so sad if they're no more...

Quite often when going to the library, will see some ah peks taking a lot of the books away without leaving any in exchange. :(

Anyone know which library got the book exchange corner? Thanks.

Almost all have exchange corner except those in shopping ctr because maybe space expensive or short (no place to hide the big shelf etc).

As for book sale, nowadays is give away. Think it is in July annually, so be in lookout or ask librarian around the time about the event/ location:

Pass by Bedok, Toa Payoh & Ang Mo Kio recently but did not see any.

Toa Payoh is small shelf inside near water cooler/ newspaper reading corner. Bedok is outside public area near book drop. Bishan is end of long ramp inside library. AMK I dunno.
