Why do you need such an OP system?

Unless you wanna go with semi AIO cooler kits from EKWB the H150i really looks like the way to go for 360mm rad.

ECC ram or just normal kits

For GPU, there is no Quadro P1700.

Either u meant Quadro FX 1700, or Quadro P1000.

In this case, a Quadro P1000 would be enough.

Since it’s work station i think you can get value rams

not sure if AIO is a good idea for this as well

PSU can get seasonic prime with plat efficiency and above

If even intends to overclock or even allow the chip to auto OC he is gonna need it IMO especially a 360mm+ cooler. My Cryorig R1 can hardly even handle my 2700X

ya air cooling is more fuss free, it’s a work station after all right? :o

clock speed is up to you, but config 4x8 is a must, if you are getting the noctua air cooler, do take note of the ram clearance, so nothing too fanciful as well

just go research on quad channel ecc rams
personally i don’t go for high clock freq rams, especially on the TR, you will probably not be able to run at rated clock speed

Corsair has higher frequency ecc, and threadripper scales with frequency, so this is the best ram you can get to my knowledge:
CT4K16G4WFD8266 (16gb * 4 kit), DDR4-2666

Its not cheap though, ram prices are very high and have been ever since flooding destroyed the ram factories in thailand... high demand + constrained supply

once upon a time 4gb ddr3 was $23 at sls =x

GPU can get 2080TI... depends what you want it for right, but that card has lots of tensor cores, good for ai. Its a cut-price titan

PSU wise the best one would be the seasonic titanium series, maybe 850w will out-last most of the stuff in your PC given the super long warranty.

note that the threadripper boards need 3/4 power cables going to your mobo... make sure the PSU is strong enough =/

for gaming the cheaper intel 6 core or even a ryzen CPU would be better. Threadripper costs allot more (4x ecc ram is expensive, needs a better PSU, runs hot, cpu and mobo more expensive. You gotta look at your use case really.)

If your usage is not so ram intensive you can get away with one stick of ecc. not optimal though.
