The Nikon Coolpix B700 like not bad.
review also quite good.
my only concern is whether its too bulky or suitable for travelling.
its a decent choice imo... price vs functionality. yeah its a bit bigger then a compact, but it has a pretty good zoom and it sits nicely in your right hand. the main thing is that these cameras have a zoom lens, so it will give u better pictures them a compact using digital zoom.

the B700 and SX60 was my choice for my budget of $600...

but now i decided to go slightly higher to get either the panasonic fz1000 or an entry level DSLR because of the better sensor.

if u want low light performance... need to get something with a better sensor.

frankly... most cameras aint that bad. just know your budget and what u need it to have.
