Hi

I understand the new iPhone's comes with dual sim ( Esim + nano ), my question to Singtel is whether Esim can be activated and they replied not ready.

Anyone know anything about the current Esim facility by telco's for the new iPhones.

I feel e sim still in infancy stage. ;)

The esim is prematurely remain on the phone. Nobody even can hacked the phone yet.

But the safer was all your data still remain the on main board as well.

What you mean by terminate esim? You telco line is just a profile which you can delete.

When you lost your phone then how you transfer sim? If you use esim maybe your telco can disable your previous esim and give you the new esim by email or something.

Telcos given you the credit card size of QR code card for you to scan and keep it for future use purpose.

The QR code can capture n put it on iCloud photo.

Once if your phone is missing right.
The number still remain on the phone.
But the phone permanently never switch on also can’t detect at all.

Missing the phone already, try to get the QR code for rescan into your new phone, for few step to setup then can work already.

I found that delete profile and add eSim to new phone, its quite easy than use physical sim.

Physical sim card, replace new one have to pay extra cost.
For eSim got the QR code can be use in multiple times.

(Just make sure that eSim can be use in the multi phones only.)

Side track a little, that’s means if next all the telco only uses esim, won’t all the physical phone seem as obsolete and cannot be use anymore?

That's is the idea of using esim. When you get a esim you get a qr code. Once you scan into your phone, the info is send to your telco. If you lost your phone, technically you can ask your telco to inactivate it and you can scan the qr code on another phone.
