@YorYor but Chris Smalling was responsible for other near goals....

That trip/early commit was so tragic to watch..
Was he? I don't recall many other incidents though. But that goal was really just the whole team going into brainless mode - Ball clear from corner so just move up from the pitch to prevent them from lobbing the ball back in and no they won't try through balls because they are just Bournemouth.

You forgot about RomeluL's wonderful header clearances in some of the games last season. After mistakes in 2 back to back games, I dreaded seeing him in our penalty box.

On our day we could beat them. But the 2 teams' recent forms suggests our mistakes and lack of composure when pressured will be easily exploited by them. And their forwards are really quite clinical. DavidDG and the defence would have to play a world cup final game to keep a clean sheet.

2nd half was better when Pogba put in another gear. Herrera was a good sub decision. time to play him more.

as for Matic, very mixed feeling about his play.

Sanchez from day 1 is very hardworking. but very wasteful of possession.

One bad game from Herrera and ppl here will ask for Fred, conveniently forgetting his bad performances.

Very soon Man Utd players' wages are going to be the highest in the world. Every player will want increase in wages before they sign a new contract. If Sanchez is getting £500K a week & he has been underperforming. Those players who had performed well will want at least £300K a week in their new contracts. DDG, Martial & Pogba all want at least £300K a week. That will be almost £1 million a week for these 3 players to get them to sign new contracts.

Then again, who knows? We might help the bookies make a killing with a surprise performance.

I wouldn't go so far as to say awful, but it is a far cry from the outstanding first 2 games in a United shirt. Definitely not commanding the midfield like he should be capable of. Maybe the age is really showing.
