Sian....survey question- for those reading this thread, what (if any) is your move once telco announces esim? Will you change your phone? Recon? If so switching over from what phone ?

I would want eSIM, so second physical Sim can use for traveler Sim, can slot in my Malaysia SIM, despite only going JB bi-monthly.

I don’t care what other says for now, I believe there must be a reason for Apple/Google and telco going for eSIM, so just adapt first and see.

Esim guide from Taiwan telco, in Chinese though

Moving forward, eSIM will be widely adopted. I believe next year Apple will go all in with eSIM.

Advantages of eSIM is user don’t have to swap out physical SIM card. All they do is to add or delete profile and that’s it.

Questions!

Singapore support Esim, you roaming overseas, China’s for example? It works? Local SIM card not into the picture , just your Singapore Esim on overseas roaming.

Yes it will work like just like a SIM card albeit virtually.

The GigSky app just got updated to kinda enable to use the eSIM on the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR.

Purchase the plans and etc, and should be good to go on the eSIM.

GigSky World Mobile Data by Gigsky, Inc. https://itunes.apple.com/sg/app/gigsky-world-mobile-data/id590458648?mt=8

Promo code: “KAEI100” when signing up for a free US$10 credit.

Haha I’m not part of or sponsored by GigSky in anyways but just sharing if wanna test out the eSIM.

Got the info from Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/iOSBeta/co..._to_try_out_dual_sim/?st=JO5WG07R&sh=20b2ff04
