Yup i really think so. There is a quota for each raid. I have encountered some raids where no matter how many raid balls i hit excellent and great.

There was once for cresselia where i hit 3 excellant and 4 great and was still not able to get him. It was a 20 man raid at a peak time (7.30pm on a weekday).

Another time.....in a 6 man raid on a rainy saturday late morning i got cresslia with my 2nd throw. Since my screen was slippery..did not hit even hit a nice ball.

I think there is some kind of algoritham in pogo raids :

a)where for 20 men raid they have like 10 raid bosses on offer ......
b) for 6 man raid they might have 4 bosses on offer

no such thing.
no quota. its rng. even 18 balll. all gold razz n all excellent.
its not 100% catch.

it can still run. but chance v low. but. yes. it can happen.

Of course it's not. The catch rate at the best of times is <16% after all.

exactly.
so even 18 times 16%. sai can still happen. n it can still fleed.
but thats v bad luck. but just saying again. it can happen.

becos its not 100% catch rate to start with..

Use kyogres
Since heatran is pure fire typing use a team of kyogres to take it down fast

Even a lvl 30 kyogre is better than a max gyarados or vapoeron

Heatran is 4× Weak to Ground attacks...

Only 2x Weak to Water & Fighting moves.

the point is to time your throw, agar the attack animation end time and throw, ideally to let the ball touch the pokemon immediately after the animation and the throw circle comes back on

unless you damn lucky to get another immediate attack animation :s13:

I usually throw soon as attack animation ends
However at times, double attack

Did two Heatran raids just now. First one Tier 2 and the second Tier 1. My first raid missed several balls but fortunately last ball caught. In fact Heatran's catch rate is quite good as long as hit curveballs with nice/great throws and feeding golden razz.
10 balls , missed 1, 7 great balls but never catch :(

Oh ok forgot it is half fire half steel

Ok lah then a kyogre and groudon combo can do the job

Groudon was one of my first to activate dual charge move. Had SB now added earthquake to it

Need to practice then know. I think it's pretty hard as a lot of synchronization required and only have 10 minutes to bring all down.
you mean, 10 min to replace a slot? but if the gym have some defenders, each time a defender down, it'll re-new the 10 min? cmiiw

I usually throw soon as attack animation ends
However at times, double attack

means u throw. ie release too late. high chance it may jump or attack again

u should throw when its in the mid of attack. so as soon as it attack end. the circle open. ur ball will hit.

no horse run.
