used latest firmare from Asus and Merline.
Restore to default before using.
both 2.4G can't work ( very very slow )
when connect it will say , no internet connection before connecting.
tried to change to less popular channel also same

Just want to say thanks to Avertek counter staff for their professional service.

I have requested to test my phone on a older model AC66, he promptly went in to check stock availability. Out he comes with it ! Impressed.
Requested too for him to show me the LAN speed of my AC88 & this too ,he did.

Maybe the 2.4 radio spoilt, get it exchange if under warranty bah...

How did you check the speed?

First chat with their support for solutions. When that didn't settles the issues, they asked me to go service center for exchange. This applies to set still under warranty.

ok. same, 5GHz too far my surface pro 2017 cannot connect although I think can connect, my phone I think can connect 5GHz band

Upgraded to this on Thursday Seems stable so far

Just updated fw. 5ghZ still unstable. Range still limited. My ont and router can only be set up right beside the door where all the electric box is. But 5ghz goes up n down when I'm in the room just beside my living room.

After so many upgrade Asus still not able to make this router 5ghz have longer range n be stable
