Plan A Entertainment And FAVE Entertainment Merge Under Kakao M
On February 13, Kakao M officially announced the merger of Plan A Entertainment and FAVE Entertainment.
Plan A currently houses various artists including Apink, Huh Gak, and VICTON. FAVE Entertainment manages artists such as Im Jin Min, who recently gained attention for appearing in SBS’s “The Fan,” 1THE9‘s Jeon Doyum, Jung Jinsung, Lee Seunghwan, and upcoming girl group tentatively named FAVE Girls.
Kakao M commented, “While in the process of re-establishing our plans [to ensure] the growth of our music production business following the launch of the new Kakao M, we decided to merge Plan A and FAVE in order to promote long-term growth.”
They continued, “Through this merger, we expect that combining the core competencies of each company will eventually strengthen our competitive advantage.”
Kakao M also shared detailed information regarding their plans to advance their competitive advantage. The company explained, “With the support of our R&C department and others, we hope to utilize the competencies of both companies to intensify our production system’s competitive advantage and diversify our artist portfolio.”
They concluded, “Ultimately, we hope to grow into a music label that people have faith in for producing music they can listen to with trust and creating K-pop artists that will receive love from global music markets.”

AOA’s Agency Responds To Fans’ Concerns Regarding Jimin’s Weight Loss
FNC Entertainment has reassured fans about Jimin’s health.
On February 12, AOA’s Jimin uploaded photos of herself on Instagram wearing a black T-shirt and skirt. Fans expressed concern as she appears to have lost weight recently.
In response to the concerns, AOA’s agency FNC Entertainment commented on February 13, “There are no problems with Jimin’s health,” and added, “She has been living healthily these days while working out continuously.”
Happyface Entertainment change name to Dreamcatcher Company
During the showcase for their fourth mini album 'The End of Nightmare', Dreamcatcher's leader Jiu shared Happyface Entertainment has decided to change their name to 'Dreamcatcher Company'.
'The company name has changed from the existing Happyface Entertainment to Dreamcatcher Company. We know that they've changed it to show us a little more support. So we have a sense of burden, but we will work hard for our company name. We hope you can support us.'
