Kevin cheng is performing during this period

Did u pay or book this cruise as a member?

Does it come with his concert tix?

I booked as a member and I heard Kevin Cheng will be performing after I booked the schedule.
I don't think my booking comes with concert tix, anyway, I don't like to watch concert. :s13:

I was told yes on the phone but my real experience was NO.
Yes - You pay SG$800 or deduct 800GP for a inside stateroom.
No - You cannot redeem a free cabin at the last min.
You need to wait till 30mins before the gate close to know if there are still available cabins.
Thanks. Any idea when gate close? Will it be cheaper then?

Depends on which day you travel, eg Friday departure the gate closes 19h30.
Approach manual checkin counter at 19h00 to check if there is available cabin. I don't think they will give discount.
Basically my experience told me that they don't even bother to entertain if you are not a casino high roller.
Do let us know if you intend to do last min checkin and tell us your experience.

Are the gratuity fees charged to each individual guest credit card or it’s being charged as a total sum per room?

Thanks.

The notice of the increase went out a couple of months back.

GD do not dock in Vietnam. They use tender boats.

Is it possible to buy bottled drinks back to the cruise ship during the day when it's parked at a port for tour?

Not a problem. I bought 2 bottles of coke zero in Penang and brought back my cabin last trip. Basically takeaway cooked food (tar pao) are not allowed, the rest like sealed and packed products shouldn't be any problem. You may refer to the list onboard what you can/cannot bring back to the ship.

Thank you for all the information in the group!

1. I read that Dream Dining Upper and Lower accept reservation? When can I go to make reservation? Go there at lunch and book for dinner?

2. I'm taking the Wed cruise to Port Klang, Will dinner still be served? I read that Lido is opened till 9pm.

3. For Port Klang, if I do not intend to travel far, what is good around the area (within walking distance). I am bringing my parents so do not intend to travel far to town, or is there any good restaurants to recommend within 15 mins car ride?

4. I will need the internet throughout, any difference between Standard and Premium?

1. Tables are usually first come first serve but will put you on reservation when full. Unless you really in big group requiring big table otherwise don't think they allow advance reservation unless maybe you are in suite where your butler can help to book.

2. Yes Dinner should be served for most Wed cruise departing at 9pm since check-in/boarding would have started from 4.30pm. There are some Wed cruise departing at 2359hrs too and later dinner should be served to. Always check your booking confirmation for exact time of check-in/boarding and departure. Recently Dream Cruises has added 24hrs Snacks Counter too in case you are hungry any other time.

3. The Port Klang Cruise Terminal has really nothing much to explore. You may want to consider to take a cab or grab to nearest Klang Town about 15mins away for their famous Bak Kut Tek with more than 100 different shops around to check out. Nearest big Shopping Mall is at Aeon Bukit Tinngi about 30mins away by cab or grab.

4. Standard vs Premium is about S$10 difference per day at $38 vs $58 for 2 days. Only diff is Premium speed is slightly faster to allow light streaming. Otherwise for basic Email or Chat the Standard should be good. You may want to consider subscribe to some of those telcos data roaming starting from $5 for Malaysia 1GB 30days data or just in case $12 for multi destinations 1GB 30days including Malaysia and Indonesia in case accidentally roam to wrong network. However Mobile signal reception will mostly be out of range when Ship is sailing along Malacca Straits.

I have also seen this update recently. Nothing to be too excited about this.
I had all these perks since my first paid Palace upgrade on Jan 20 sailing.
Been on 2 more palace sailing since then. Will be going again on Mar 31.
What is really tremendous is the extremely high value food in the Palace buffet.
Then it is the six star service and ambiance.
Then it is the free flow of wine which cost $230 alone.
The Palace suite is double the size of the balcony cabin.
As for the butler I can do without since I am on the ship so often.
