frankly if anyone wants to save the best way is thru some bros here who can use their pts or entitlement to book fw htl for u. it will save u lots. all depends on timing because the kind bro must be there personally to chk u in.
and btw htl rm charge is rm10 per day already so must count that in too.

y5 have connecting rooms

but i not sure about choosing this during self-check in

You can request via the self check in machines. Also note that sometimes the system will tell you that connecting isn't available, you can actually try via the counter instead (Have to queue and also pay additional fee of i think RM10).

His version of the story dun makes sense at all.

Even if the dealer makes a mistake at the table, the usual practice is that the particular hand will be void.

Which casino would agree that he does not have to pay for losses up to that point, on account of the mistakes made by the dealer?

And maybe he really does has a letter from the Star Gold Casino CEO acknowledging the mistakes, but there was no mention that he has it in writing that he is not liable for the loss. Because if he does have such a letter, then there would be no need for the case to be brought before the High Court.

願賭服輸. It's just another case of a high roller losing and then trying to avoid his debt.

Yes. I guess that's very possible.

I suppose we should not use our general gaming knowledge and try to apply it to the high rollers. :D

But what you said does remind me of a famous case involving a well-known professional poker player Phil Ivey who won £7.3 million from playing Punto Banco (Baccarat) at Crockfords, a casino in London, but was refused payment beyond his initial £1 million stake due to Ivey's use of edge sorting.

More info on this case >> https://www.huffpost.com/entry/phil-ivey-poker-champion_n_1951012

Incidentally, Crockford is own by Genting so strictly speaking, we have not gone OT. =:p

My view on the golden package is that if you are already going to gamble RM1000 a day, then why dun make use of the extra benefit that comes with it? The meal voucher alone is worth at least RM20.

Yes, it is a bit more troublesome (especially if you are playing table game) and there are restrictions on where you can play with the NN chips, credit. But if you dun mind the extra steps needed and the restrictions, then getting the Golden Package is definitely something worth considering.

If you are talking about the Phil Ivey case, there was another case in which he won $9.6 million at Borgata, a New Jersey casino. After the Crockford case, the casino went back and review their loss and sued Ivy for the return of their winning.

This article and the accompanying video explains some of the request Ivy made during the gaming session and what he did to gain an advantage at the game.

What is ‘edge-sorting’ and why did it cost a poker star $10 million in winnings?

Video

Fascinating stuffs!

seems like the casino don’t want to pay school fees to learn new tricks.

The casino was also greedy, conveniently use the excuse of adhering to player’s superstitious so that can keep big fishes at table.

Wow just look at the size of the amount claim.
Looks like SG has Whales as big as any in the world.
What I don't understand is why the casino did not file the claim in Australia where this matter took place.
I thought SG law says gambling debt cannot be enforced here except when it is in the two IRs and I remember the government did amend the laws for the two IRs here.

According to the article, the Star Casino did file a legal suit against Dr Wong in Queensland but withdraw it after he objected on the ground that the casino had started a suit in Singapore against him for the same reliefs.

Yes, do you know why the casino choose SG instead of AUS.
