Hey Ohgeesh. I am in the same predicament as you. I'm looking at this situation on the positive side in which it means I don't have to sit for the EPT. Which is a good thing, because 1. EPT is another stress test hence another round of waiting for the results (prolonging the yes/no outcome) 2. It is not exactly cheap and if you fail, can be a waste of money.

That said, we should all maintain a positive spirit and enjoy the weekend. Everyone here is hoping for a positive outcome and we feel for those that did not make it through because we know the feeling. Best to look past the negative energy/entities that don't really know what he or she is talking about but lurking here because their son/"dotter" is applying to get into a similar programme. It is as if this person wants help/updates for their child, but putting others down at the same time. This kind of vibe is contrary to the positivity I've seen in this thread.
Yes, thks for the encouragement, octorabbit. Indeed, we need a positive spirit to ride this wait.

As for the rude intruder, we hv to starve him/her of the attention that he/she is seeking.

Hihi Ohgeesh! Yup they said I have to meet up with the music panel and will email me regarding the details. Haven’t received the email though. But I really hope it won’t drag until May or the next interview window - don’t want to wait 10 months +
Hi student1995, it's good that u hv another choice. Shows that they value your qualifications. Hope the process will not be too long for everyone.

Hi everyone, after a long time I am visiting this forum again.Just want to share my experience with you all.I applied for PGDE about a year ago.Went for interview. It went well.A few weeks later received email asking for CPF statements.Following that,a few weeks later received email indicating availability for EPT.About 1.5 weeks later received email to go for EPT.After EPT,I received the medical email.Went for medical.Status in Careers@gov changed to shortlisted. After a long wait received EPT results.I passed my EPT.Just when I thought everything was going on well I received an email 1 week later stating that my application was unsuccessful. This happened to many of us who applied during that application window. So guys, what I am saying is nothing is confirmed until you receive the official appointment email letter.EPT,Medical and even status change is not a guarantee at all.Just sharing my experience.
Hi Panda18,
Thank you for your input. Very sorry to hear what happened to you but I am glad you highlighted this. I think it is very relevant to me as well -- so if rejection comes I would be prepared for it. :)

Thank you for being so encouraging. I’m really thankful for this forum that keeps me motivated and updated - and sharing all your personal experiences :)) Hehe. Hope we can be colleagues! Even if some of us didn’t succeed this time round, let’s remember that when one door closes, another one opens. Have a good weekend everyone.

On a sidenote, seems like no one received the to sit for EPT email? That might be good news - as what someone mentioned, it’s a good thing! don’t have to pay the fee and wait for outcome again. All the best everyone :)

hi my teaching stint starts on 15 July.

Just curious, low long will the appointment briefing take?

I see! It took around 2 hours (plus plus). My appt briefing was in jan. Supposed to start in feb but I deferred my assumption of duty date due to personal reasons :) wondering if anybody else is starting their teaching date on the same date! :)

Congrats Origamimosa. What is the teaching subject offered to you? Mind asking what was your major in uni nus/ntu? mid career switcher too

PGDE PRI ART. I was not from NTU or NUS, I did my BA Hons in Visual Communications in Lasalle but kept getting rejected from the PGDE PRI ART interviews due to the discrepancy in course length hence I decided to do an extra part time NIE-NTU endorsed course called Specialist Diploma in Art Education to boost my chances. Took me about a year to complete, and I guess I finally got lucky with my grades. I am currently still teaching freelance in Primary schools, and was teaching art in the Singapore Juvenile detention facilities too.

I am just glad the hard work and long wait paid off as I have applied a grand total of 4-5 times since graduation 6 years ago!

Another PGDE Pri art applicant here! So far no news so I’m hoping it’s a good thing. They did say 4-5weeks after the interview so I guess we just have to be patient!
