I've a friend who went to ITE without O levels, then did diploma in poly. Now deciding to apply for DipEd. What are the chances? Is it a must to have O levels with 5 credits?
Yes, I would think so. This is why David Hoe (last time an NT student) worked his way from NT to O level so that he has the right qualifications to apply to be an MOE teacher. Now he is teaching in Eunoia JC. Mad respect for him you can go read up on him. Would have been better if MOE posted him to, say, Spectra or Northlight. I'm sure the kids there would really look up to him!
Perhaps you could encourage your friend to apply and see how?
