I went over to Quube and searched for the same mbp and it was selling for ∯1,132.39 which is about SGD$1574.0221 (which is more expensive).

Use Amex promo to buy 1000 Qcoin for SGD1181.50.

Use UOB promo to buy 110 Qcoin for SGD139.

Buy remaining 22.39 + 1.49 Qcoin for SGD33.19.

Total you paid about SGD1353.69.

Edit: Disclaimer, i have not use the Amex to buy Qcoin yet, I presume you pay 15% off for every 100 Qcoins since it says 15% savings.

How does the UOB 10% work ? If I buy say 100 qcoins, I charge to card for 100 coins and they add 110 qcoins to wallet immediately ? Or card is charged for 90 qcoins but wallet added with 100 qcoins?

Tested on a $60 item.

After coupon, it's $50 which is about $35.97122 qcoins so if I get charged below that, it means I save $$ by using qcoins. However, the savings is very little but it may be good for higher priced items.

If you are using UOB promo, you can get another 10% $5 off $50 why not, unless you are not comfortable with the remaining Qcoin in the account.

You paid SGD139 for 100 Qcoin, once you "top up" the 100 Qcoin, the system will add another 10 Qcoin to your wallet. So 110 Qcoin for SGD139.

Is the 10 Qcoin also immediate ie when I go wallet I will see 110 qcoins straight away ?

Payment by Qcoin is one of the payment options, like credit card or paypal, it is the last stage of the payment section after qpoints and qmoney. Limit should be on your Qcoin in the wallet (like credit limit in cc, I think).

I think you will need 72 Qcoin for SGD100 but Qcoin discount is only for purchase in multiple of 50 (2%), 100 (5% or UOB or Amex promos).

For me is immediate, I am not sure about others. Once you see the status changed to "Requesting Item", do not wait. Click on the "Qcoin Top Up" to convert to Qcoin. About a few refresh, the 10 Qcoin will be added to the wallet. For my case.

Spot on! Even with $120 coupon, Qoo10 still more expensive. Amex very good deal not to be missed for purchases from $1000 - $1500

Actually the calculation very simple as explained by some people here already. Those who understand will enjoy the savings. Those who don't, continue to look for better offer

Actually buying from Qoo10 with SGD120 coupon will be cheaper.

Same seller selling in Qoo10 at S$1,672.10 with free shipping.

Use SGD120 coupon, price now $1552.10 which is about (current exchange rate) 1,102 Qcoins:

Use Amex promo to buy 1000 Qcoin for SGD1181.50.

Use UOB promo to buy 110 Qcoin for SGD139.

Total you paid about SGD1320.50 with 8 Qcoin spare.

Edit: If you buy from Qoo10 site instead of QuuBe, the conversion depends on the current USD exchange rate, the stronger the USD, the less Qcoin you need to use.

You forget the 8 Qcoin is worth about SGD11. If I were you, I will cancel and buy again but that is a very huge risk to take with over 1000 Qcoin in the account.
