Think TPG is throttling internet speed from mifi.

I notice speed test show full speed. But if u go download file and surfing u notice the super slow speed.

thanks for sharing this information.

the slow speed occurs if used on mifi, then what about on mobile phones? does the same issue persist?

i hve the same problem when using Huawei E5885Ls-93a.

THe speed test can get the full speed but when downloading the apps, the speed will be limited.

I tried another brand - Tenda and i have no problem with full speed downloadting.

Ain't it cheaper to just get a simple android phone with 4g to tether as hotspot?

That's why I do. Previously it was my tablet but it was too troublesome to bring out sometimes. My TPG sim is now in a secondary phone.

Same here. Cos' this is still a trial and I don't foresee any use of the mifi once the trial is over. Some sources even state the trial will end on Dec this yr.

Well, huawei mifi can be as cheap as 45$ for export set. Can you get android phone with this price?

Funny that you compare a mifi to a phone. Spare phones are free in the first place, where mifi will end up useless in the drawer once the trial is over.

If you really want to argue for a phone, just pick up a used phone in carousell. Any phone as dated as 2012 or even earlier has hotspot capabilities.

Or even this:

Certainly worth paying $30 more for more than just a hotspot mifi.

Anyone tested with Asus or TP Link's 4G LTE Router on TPG sim card ?
