but his interview with Spanish press is not very flattening. he said something along the line that he was playing first half of last season, then got injured, and never gained back his place. he could not understand why. he also described his relationship with klopp as kind of cold, the greet and bye kind. if he does not know why he was benched and seek to improve himself, then he is not fit to be a liverpool player.

i really dont bother with what the media says. all they do is stir. only care about what klopp and the players say and show. klopp didnt show he had a problem with moreno (attitude wise), in fact he often praise him for his attitude. if he had a problem with him, he wont fly moreno to madrid liao. see sakho.

moreno is just at the wrong place at the wrong time. never a fullback, but tasked to be one. im sure if he had played this season, it would have been his best season. too bad robbo was many class above him.

However, since the original reaction to this interview, a separate version of the truth has emerged. An article posted by Football Espana supposedly gave another translation of an interview that Moreno had allegedly conducted with separate Spanish radio station, Cadena Ser. This second interview did not take place & it seems that this article has mixed up the two radio stations, Alberto only did one interview. Not only was this the incorrect source of the interview, but we believe the translation has been manipulated to increase hype & sensationalise Alberto’s words.
“But that Alberto is not happy with not having too much minutes, it’s obvious. The more important thing is he never shows it in any training sessions, he’s a fantastic professional and trains really well when he can.

I actually am glad moreno put in a terrific performance b4 robbo got in. Robbo was poor, trying to adapt. Moreno step up until he got that injury. Robbo then never wanted to hand it back.

As mentioned, proper pro in the team. No problems. Fans need an excuse for something at times and there he is... Gets mentioned even though not playing. I guess Moreno is popular. :s13:

Best of luck to him. Hope he goes barca too. Think he can play there.

When playing Moreno had tendency to give fans her attacks. He'll just fine a blur and surprised look after.

Even Milly was preferred at left back even when robbo want playing.

Daniel Sturridge:
“I contributed and even the players who haven’t played a minute [did],” said the striker after collecting his winner’s medal in Madrid, echoing the manager’s sentiments throughout the season.
“There are guys who have been on the bench and haven’t played a single minute but have been a part of it: from training, to acting like the opposition that we have been playing against, to doing a job, to sacrificing themselves and the way they play just to do a job on the training field."

All players are important, regardless got the chance to play actual match or not.
Btw, wonder those on loan players e.g Clyne will be given the CL medal or not?

Shaq confirms he is staying. Think he doesn't mind being a squad player.

He possessed that footballing mind that some of the players lacked.
Even though Klopp dun like to play him, he offered a different dimension to LFC.
He can score goal out of the 6 yard box and find space among the crowded defense.
But, he need to get his match sharpness since he dun play often.

The club is given 40 medals. Think it's up to the club to distribute them.

However uefa says to consider a player as a winner he must have played at least a minute. Unused squad and bench players aren't considered.

My understanding from that is a player who didn't play at all may get a medal from the club but uefa didn't consider him a winner.

Hope this puts an end to all the Salah transfer nonsense.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/truth-behind-mohamed-salah-jurgen-16260081

"We can reveal the truth behind the quote which has sparked fresh claims in the Spanish media that Mohamed Salah wants to leave Liverpool.

The Liverpool forward was supposed to have refused to talk about his future following the Champions' League final, and from there, various outlets in Spain decided that was enough to link him with Real Madrid... and Manchester United!

Given that the presence of United in the claims alone should be enough to confirm it was a hoax, the story probably doesn't bear much more scrutiny.

But in fact, Salah gave only one interview to the assembled media in the mixed zone at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, and that was with the English press.

He spoke of his pride in Liverpool and his desire to win more trophies with the club.

He wasn't asked about his future at all, and so couldn't have answered on that subject. That question though, WAS asked of Daniel Sturridge, who stood next to Salah, and spoke after him.

When Sturridge was questioned on leaving Liverpool - with his departure subsequently confirmed on Tuesday - he said: "Now is not the time.

"I don't even want to talk about all that stuff. I feel like it has been an incredible time and I am not going to talk about next season or anything."

That didn't stop one Spanish newspaper claiming Salah said, it, or that it was evidence he would leave… and they even claimed he had an agreement with the club's owners he can depart this summer.

They doubled down on a story written in March saying he'd had a row with Jurgen Klopp, even though that story was completely discredited by the club, Klopp and Salah himself.

In fact, the player's agent Ramy Abbas even went as far as to tweet directly about the Spanish newspaper to dismiss the reports."

De Ligt rumors seems to be hotting up again

Fantastic if he really joins us, him and van dijk means our central defence will be sorted out for the next decade

Eventually when Van Dijk retires, he can still carry on to partner with Gomez

That’s good investment right there
